some studios do not understand what is going on and what is about to happen.
while you are pointing fingers someone is working on taking all your viewers.
every time you make a shitty scene their rating goes up.
how does that happen?
unappealing scenes make the viewers search among the trash looking for precious metals.

It has nothing to do with competition. If LP was “competing” with all these different studios they wouldn’t be hosting all of the content on their page. It’s more that they have a monopoly of sorts on hosting content from famous pornstars, it’s a matter of advertisement for them, they will be more effectively advertised on here than their own page. And the number of scenes clearly says nothing about the quality of those scenes. I’d wager even really enthusiastic visitors of the site probably only have about 10-20 scenes this year that they have been excited about.

And people wonder why some of the studios are struggling with their sales? Add to this a reduction in video quality and almost non-existent support or quality control when it comes to tagging or content.
Quantity, not quality, is now the only metric for this site. Pornbox has clearly been aiming to transform into a paid tube site business model for the past couple of years, where the draw of overwhelming mass of content is all that matters. I'm not sure there is any going back at this point, so it's only going to get worse.

Yeah i totally agree, every member who regularly buy scenes probably only follows the most popular studios anyway and just look what they release. Damn i would like to see the numbers on sales from some vids, i wouldn't be surprised if like 30.000 videos have 0 sales.
And then when a new studio shows up or a studio that doesn't release like every 1-3 days struggle to compete.
I don't understand why AV can't be for actual new created scenes by actual studios and the amateur/backstage and whatever stuff gets put into the xvids red subscription where still nobody watches them but whatever.
Xvids is a scene dumpster anyway, there is so much crap and good videos are not or wrongly tagged models not named or tagged and so on it's almost impossible to search and find something specific there as well and the vid quality sucks, like it's permanently half the bitrate.
But okay for 10 bucks a month it is what it is.
AV however could use a little love and "cleanup" in my opinion. But yeah seems like it's just a cash cow for low effort nobody (except the users) care about.

My experience over last 1y or so is that the first 19 scenes (= 4 rows in my view) are the usual old AVLP studios releasing pretty regularly, sometimes including XF, LVP and Yummy BTS. BTS is clearly marked in title, though. Only mess are Russian studios like X-TV and so called Middle Versions etc.

But anyway, generally all other scenes I just ignore. I haven't set any Filters or favorites except excluding homo and TS. This unwanted offers are filtered out 99% correctly.
The rest I just ignore, they may release 50000 old or amateur scenes per day I dont care really. And by checking the first 19-21 scenes I have covered 99% I am interested in.

The rest I check by looking for DAP tag daily. Sometimes a girls own studio, Ruby Bianchi or girls own studio DAP is rendered. Usually I dont buy them but from to time I do depending on price.

Generally I dont get all that moaning!
If they want to spam their own sales channels they do it. Users just have to be practical and pragmatic.
Only hard thing of course is for new studios.

I think the argument here is that it's a complete pain in the ass - previously you could check the updates and you knew you were just getting the "main" studios, but now - unless you invest significant time to filter out the 1000+ BS studios - you have to sift through *endless* shit to see if there are any scenes you *might* be interested in. In terms of usability it's a complete disaster.

But only you know what you *might* be interested in.

Could you try an approach of filtering IN what you like instead of trying to filter out an ever-growing list of new small content sellers?
On the "Custom" tab you can choose only the studios/models/tags that you're interested in.

I know I'm drifting off-topic, but what the hell is a 'middle version' anyway? I keep seeing it more and more in scene descriptions, and I have no idea what it's supposed to mean, or how it differs from other versions of the same scene, often with the same running time???

Thats exactly not the case, at least not for me.
I didnt invest any time in filters at all + still get the main studios at the top. I only check these 19 studios and thats it. The rest I ignore.

I think it is a lesser desirable production.
want to be fair with the buyers, but will then ask top dollars for the so-called good production.
a skim as usual, or a marketing strategy according to them.

E.g. if a scene has bad lighting they will charge 9 dollars, but if the lighting is good they will charge 13 dollars.
This is my own opinion and it is not real is just an assumption.
and this is what happens when the consumers are left in limbo, as usual.

I spent the time to filter out every "non-LP" studio when they first made the changes to the site, so my experience is totally fine as long as I hide any new spam studios whenever I log in - it took a while but was totally worth doing, because if you look at the homepage without logging in it's a total horror show

OK, whatever works for you. I tried hiding unwanted studios but after the first 1,000 I realised I was only half way through and lost the will to live.

Personally I found it easier to just add the few studios I follow into my "custom" page and monitor that instead.

As a side-effect, all the other studios remain visible (unhidden) on the "New Scenes" page if I ever wanted to search for anything.

I think the downside of doing it DAP-A's way and just looking at the first 5 lines of "New Scenes" is that sometimes a gem from established studios appears out of sequence on line 7 or 10 or whatever.

Also, if you don't monitor the site for few days because you're otherwise occupied in the real world, it's harder to find the scenes you've missed using DAP-A's method. With my method they're pre-filtered so you only see recent releases from your favourite studios/models.

I've tried to understand RPSN's explanations. I still don't understand.

It seems to me they are re-releasing older scenes, possibly slightly edited and/or discounted, to "bump" them to the front of the supermarket shelf and attract surfers' attention again, in hope of capturing some more sales.

They call them "middle" versions partly because the PB software won't let them upload the exact same scene title twice, so they need to call it something different. I still don't understand why RPSN call it a "middle" version.

I hate being negative but this week is the worst for the quality of the new releases.

Even the bigger studios have not been up to the usual high quality of porn. I think the world recession has finaly hit LP. Lack of girl/girl 3 boy orgy scenes. Seems to be one girl with 3/5/7 guys the norm now. How I miss
Giada Sgh or Moona coming into the scene and helping the girls to get a full gape by giving them a good fisting.

It's easier for me because gem in my book is a DAP scene usually. Therefore I also additionally apply the DAP tag filter. Now tagging is bad sometimes and I still might miss something, but it's ok for me with that pragmatic approach.
Additionally every week or so I scan my fave studios for 1on1 anal introductions I might have missed somehow, because also a new girl can be a gem.

Hi. Middle version. This is a shortened version, for reissue to people who haven't seen it. We were told to prescribe a prerequisite for the release of the scene.
