Why don't all studios offer monthly memberships?

It seems like a bit of a no-brainer to me: offer a bit of a discount to encourage people to have the option of buying a monthly membership sub, the buyer gets more bang for his buck and spends more money with that studio. Yet only some studios offer this option. I can understand if some of the larger studios are worried about people joining for 1 month and downloading everything then never re-subscribing, but seeing as the studios can limited the number of downloads they allow - what's stopping all studios offering this as an option?

Every once in a while I think about it.
The main issue is that to sustain for example all the content of GG with a monthly membership at 30$, will be necessary to sell a number of membership that would be disproportionate. I think it would bring to decrease the budget for production.
A hybrid solution could be something to test (some scenes into the membership and some not). I am actually seriously considering it.

Yeah, that might work. Possibly even something like only older scenes (1 year+) included - if you want the new stuff you have to pay the premium individual scene ticket price? Just a thought.

Or just limit the number of downloads per month included in membership, like you suggested in OP.
