Animosity and war usually leads to loss of freedom and liberties for everyone, and not just for foreigners.

In USA, the Patriot Act has increased government powers and reduced people's liberties in many unprecedented ways. And the justification for this is the US war on terrorism.

The US War on Drugs did similar things. It led to government confiscations of private property even when no proof of wrongdoing was found. Suspicion of wrongdoing is now enough to lose your property and money.

Such examples are countless, and they are not just in USA. It's like this everywhere.

When there is animosity and war, then authorities can use it to justify any restrictions on freedoms and liberties they want. Because they have a perfect accusation against anyone who objects. And this accusation is that the objectors are aiding and abetting the enemy. Which makes them enemy sympathizers and enemies too. And once people are accused this way, then they are automatically assumed to be guilty. And they are treated as enemies.

War and animosity is incompatible with freedom and liberties. And just insisting on your freedoms and liberties in times of war and animosity isn't going to get you anywhere. The only thing that will work for restoring people's freedoms and liberties is the end of war and animosity. That's how it was at the end of the Cold War.

A repeat of this can happen again, if and when the current round of animosity and war ends. But it doesn't look promising. The Cold War lasted for a whole generation. There is no natural end to such animosity. It can last for many generations and hundreds of years.

The only way to end war and animosity is to work for peace and friendship. Because it won't happen on its own.

I think porn can be one of the ways to change people's feelings on both sides of the divide and get them to be friends again.

In the past, countries often ended their wars and created alliances through marriages between kings and queens and their nobility. They could do it like that because they had centralized authority and everything depended on the heads of state.

You can draw a distinction between performers who get into porn for all the usual reasons (= 99% of performers; eg. money for cosmetic surgeries/education/luxuries/travel-migration, or for a different/independent way of making a living)...

... and those who may now be drawn in (out of desperation) as a consequence of being a refugee displaced by war and trying to survive with no means of support. Or drawn in (out of desperation) because they stay in a country involved in a live conflict, which results in their extreme impoverishment.

Those are two totally different categories.
One is the status quo (as most here would recognise and accept).
