I'm not that techno-advanced. Every picture I try make as avatar has too many KB's (though still near enough to power moon landing!) or is too big in scale. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks Avanfurwet. But you're only expressing precisely the problem I face. Can you make the image 'fit' in some way? Because I can't find images small enough to fit.

Is there a way around it?

Can’t you just make a square image and resize that to 90x90 with Paint? I think that’s how I did it.

Paint was part of Windows since Windows 1.0 in about 1066ad.
I like your picture of beautiful Linda.
Unfortunately when shrunk to 90 x 90 pixels it doesn't resolve very well.
Anyway, here it is if you want it. Maybe another graphics program would do a better job of shrinking the file?

AS other users said: You must reduce with an editor program the picture to 90x90, paint could be usefull in a generic use.

I trend to change my avatar sometimes and the best thing is find a pic with a great quality and choice what do you want to show in the avatar. That linda sweet pic will be to "small" to appreciate something if you decides simply reduce the whole pic in a square 90x90.

I like make avatars when i find hot pics and as you can see looks like a render without background, looks great. I show some little example of how to choice and avatar from the linda sweet pic, you will appreciate more the quality and how is the girl of the pics:

It can be done, if you're willing to cut off the bottom part of the image:

Quality for such a small image will always be lower than you'd like, unfortunately.

Thanks. In the end I used "Microsoft Office Picture Manager".
