Since we now have an Off-topic forum I wondered what then would be On-topic, especially in a forum named "General"?

First we must answer "What is the purpose of the forum?". The purpose is different for the owner xxx and the users but there must be a common interest or nobody will participate. Here is what I think the purpose could be for both xxx and for myself. I am sure there are different opinions.

1. Make the site more attractive by offering a feature which attracts and/or retain porn consumers.
2. Get insight into what customers think about the site, its content and its usability
3. Get a better understanding of customer preferences i.e. market research
4.

My purpose with participation
1. To reflect over porn and get other members views on things I find interesting i.e. chatting
2. Give feedback to models and directors and hopefully get answers or even influence future productions (we have all asked for our favorite fetishes often in vain, but I like to believe that I sometimes have been heard)

I think this forum could be better if it was allowed to discuss and compare porn in general from the whole porn universe. I cannot see that anyone reading the forum suddenly should leave Analvids and consume their porn elsewhere just because of some discussions here.
People come here if the porn fits their taste, they leave when it stops catering to their needs.
Knowing why people come here and what they appreciate or why they are leaving would for most companies be important information.

I am completely oblivious to what's on XXX's mind, lol.

I remember when a guy asked him, I think JesusPorn, or something like that,
what is in XXX opinion, the most representative scene on Legalporno catalog?

I don't quite like that XXX is monopolizing porn,
because I think the business model that he offers
is forcing studios into a box, that promotes low-budget scenes.

Now everybody in Europe seems to think the only way to produce porn
is to do it in the confinement of a small room.

I don't like that all scenes look the same.

If you have seen old movies, if you still remember them,
porn used to be so much better in some regards.

Different locations, different time periods. Custom clothing.
Camara operators and directors, photographers.
Higher production value. A lot more creative.

I'm just ranting.

I think it'll level itself out slowly & gradually. But your thread is vital to forum... will the on-topic stuff be reduced to 5on1's, 6on1's etc utter boredom, while off-topic is just a good laugh? I'd say we all need a good laugh & not take life too seriously...

It's good that fans can write here their comments about Pornbox producers and models, requests, dislikes, compliments, and occasionally even comparisons with other porn websites.

Perhaps producers and models like to read here sometimes about how fans enjoy their work. Maybe a few fans could think for a moment before disrespecting the models, but I guess some people are just angry and socially retarded and that won't change.

Again, IMO it would probably be a mistake for the businesses to overreact to the wildly contradictory unrepresentative views of a tiny noisy minority here. Their sales figures tell them more than we can. But we still try to tell them anyway.

My experience after 5,5y here is that my influence is much bigger than many directors here claim.
But to influence it is sure not enough to shout "Freddy! Freddy! Freddy!" in every post, but add some value beyond name, sex act calling or barefeet/lingerie calling, showing you are really buying these scenes and that you are really committed to the studios.

It truly scares me how many people fit that category. I assume they have had a tough life and now they make life hard for other people, it is a vicious circle!

In marketing you need both quantitative and qualitative data. If nothing sells any longer, which direction do you go?
