I do observe that girls look different in soft porn and vanilla sex scenes compared to the norm in hardcore (and especially anal scenes). I mean, sometimes, sure, but why is it the norm?

I know a large part of the difference between soft- and hardcore is that the photo-centric sites perform massive amounts of photo editing in order to get their models to look the way they want, but it's also obvious that the makeup artists and stylists that work with softcore actually know what they are doing, and have producers that actually care.

I think the problem is that hardcore always revolves around the action rather than the presentation, so producers get complacent and don't bother to improve on, or even give thought to, the latter. Hiring professionals to do these things would cost money, which they would rather spend on more male performers, so they let someone who will work for peanuts do it and then pick outfits at random from the box of clothes looted from the corpses of overdosed prostitutes, to save costs. (Slight exaggeration of course ).

I think it can be hotter for the viewer, when the lady plays a double role, before she takes her double pole.

The lady can start her scene by looking like an innocent girl, who doesn't care for the anal guys at all. But then she suddenly transforms into a slut and takes all the guys inside her sexy butt.

Such a transformation works like a good sex-story. At first, there is some tense suspense about whether she will reject the guys or not. And then there is a big surprise and great relief, when this innocent-looking chick takes on every dick.

Yeah, VK and NRX usually have much better styling than the tired old "hooker"-look. Gonzo definitely have some nice styling in their backlog and GG perhaps one scene in a hundred, but mostly its very much cookie cutter with little to no creativity involved. Even on those few occasions when styling is closer to "girl next door" than "hooker", I find the same old studio setting breaks whatever illusion styling might achieve. Not shooting everything in the same studio like location is a big part of the appeal of VK, NRX and now recently Vira Gold Films, especially when combined with "girl next door"-styling.

Indeed. The makup is not everything btw. You also have the ligthing and the whole of production.

Scenes shot in natural light and white sheets work beautifully with "natural" looking girls. The use of obvious studio locations has definitely passed its prime for me. I hardly buy anything in that format anymore.
