To change white backgrounds, color change once in every month will be good in my opinion...

Everything but no red or pink, doesn't work well with skin color...

The current background of white is the most sterile, clinical and professional look. I would not wish for the background room colour of AV scenes to change...

NRX studio has some nice locations. I like the blue/grey flat they use.
Would also love something like brut concrete, with a dirty garage / cellar look.

I like the idea. Not sure we needed quite so many pics from Home Improvement magazine online or wherever though. ;)

I do think the change to blue from white with Giorgio is an improvement. White (a la Gonzo) I find quite sterile or unnervingly celestial or something.

Apart from anything else, it would be a good way to place the era of scenes. I watch a lot of old scenes so it would be quite good to be like "Ah it's lime green background here - that's this time last year" or whatever.

I don't think it's a massive thing but I do think a little change to the decor or setting gives a bit of extra spontaneity to the scenes and also makes them look a bit more natural. A good example is Christoph Clark's Angel Perverse era. I think he had like 4 or 5 locations that he used but just using them intermittently gave a bit of an illusion of there being more. It was unapologetically gonzo and he wasn't going to go over budget with new locations all the time but but he was also keen not to look lazy so mixed it up a bit. Something similar for Gonzo and Giorgio would help I think. But Giorgio's blue setting is still quite new (relatively). I think he should keep it for the time being at least.

IMO for white people, BLUE walls is the worse option, lol.

I'm in middle of house renovation so thanks for great pictures. I need to utilise such content for inspiration.

I love the purple. Seriously though, I think the LP white room style is just fine... you'd get lost in these colours... the white is fine... or just newly skimmed metallic grey...

On more downer of a note, I've got to, for pragmatisms sake, base my colouring around my leather black & brown couches & piano... that's a downer.

But thanks anyway!

A black or dark setting with excellent/proper lighting/spots/floods, seems to portray the natural tones of the model's bits the closest.

Too much white with full ambient lighting creates whitewashing, results in adjusting saturation to compensate and hinders the visual experience
* Many Cindy Shine, Mina, Megan Venturi etc., had terrible saturation/contrast levels and hindered the visual experience; like how the obscene camera-clicking interferes with the immersive audio experience.
* Darkko films tend to go to the other extreme of contrast/saturation; but his films remain 'clearer' and crisp.
- Grey walls are better in preventing this or darker furniture in a white room.
* The grey couch made a lot of difference in the white room in regards to reducing white-washing.

It's all really about how the colour palate filters out, or mixes with what's going on....
- Too much reds to yellow messes up the contrast of skin tones and pinks as much as too much white ambience.
- Many of the above examples using bright coloured bedding would probably be better used in a darker ambient setting or very direct bright ambience, so they don't colour-wash out the tones of the skin or pussy-pink.
* Very dark-skinned models are more suited to the general examples of colour palates, but it's all about proper ambient and direct lighting.

InterracialVision started of very strong visually. They upped the clarity significantly. But after a year or so, started to slid into the white-washing and the awful offensive camera clicking.
* Either the camera broke, or people just don't get that they shouldn't wear bracelets, watches, shirt cuffs etc., while holding the camera.
When AmericanAnal started releasing stuff here...the colour palate, contrast and clarity became my personal standard to what porn should 'look' like....
* NRX-studio started following suit.
Giorgio'sLAbs improves a little when the blue palate is utilized.
Firstgape and Sineplex films had better saturation/contrast/clarity than many newer films.
The South American studios vary too much, but the models when visiting Europe are far too washed out.
* They would look amazing in AA film format! Just saying.

If it's more about the camera's range quality, I highly recommend getting whatever gear was used in AA, BlackedRaw etc films.
The sex act may be what we want to see, but clarity, colour palate, contrast and saturation quality can make an otherwise excellent scene, relatively unwatchable in the age of High-definition.
* It can also make a rather lackluster scene..... more visually stimulating.
Otherwise, it starts to appear that things are filmed in 720p and then upgraded to 1080+, or that editing is done on a much smaller monitor; where the picture looks better regardless, but doesn't translate well to a larger screen.
* editing should be done on at least a 50 inch UHD/4k screen.
As far as home base goes....if upgraded gear isn't invested in:
Turn down the general ambient lighting, and utilize more spots/floods: think stage theatre.

I just want to add:

Many Cammers/Vloggers already understand colour palate, lighting usage and camera quality, resulting in a more clean, clearer and crisper visual experience.
Just saying....
