Football thread

Postby netzerkaiser » Thu May 27, 2021 8:58 pm

To most guys in Eurupe & South America, I think their fantasising over football equals their fantasising over sex or music. That Baggio lad was some player, in a time when ball was heavier, you got kicked & got up, lousy pitches etc... Messi wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes one feels. Baggio wore jersey of big teams, small teams, he just went out & was brilliant for them all.

Pretty weird to read about football here, lol. But i'm gonna comment your post, because i'm from South America, and football is like a religion here. I didn't see that much about Baggio, i saw him playing the '98 world cup, and he was something else; plus, back in the days, the best players and the toughest defenders were in Italy. I don't like to compare football players, i don't like to compare different eras either, i just like to enjoy them. My favorite players are the skillful ones, impossible not to think about Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, etc, we don't see that kind of talent these days. Cheers!

If you're Brazilian, where do you start? Didi, Pele, Garrincha, Ronaldo, Rivelinho, Rivaldo, Tostao, Falcao, Zico, the list is endless...

For Argentina, Maradona, Kempes, Di Stefano, Sivori... so many great names...

Uruguay: Schiafanno, Varella, Andrade...

So many heroes... so many...
