POLL: The LP/AV studio Poll - Camerawork

Hey, let me try to compare the core LP/AV studios currently releasing stuff:
1st poll is about camerawork and lighting only
i.e. neither choice of girls, nor sex acts!
For GLab I have differed between Erika Korti and Oliver Strelly.
Other Piter directors and all Rio director has minor output, thus I left them out.
Giorgio's GLab direction is the same as in GIO proper.
The 4 highlighted studios are all run and directed by former or still active LP girls.
Studios to vote for:
gonzo.com
Giorgio Grandi (main GIO studio)
Giorgio's Lab (all scenes shot in Russia by different directors) (GLab)
Giorgio's Lab (directed by Erika Korti) (GLab)
Anal Maniacs (by Lady Dee)
N&F (Florane Russell)
Natasha Teen Studio (NTS)
NRX (Nick Rock)
VK (Valter Karo)
YummY Estudio
You have 3 options
Poll runs for 10 days.
Remember we dont vote about talent pool of the studios, neither about their BBC studs!
Comments and discussion as always welcome!

This distinction above Erika vs. Oliver might actually be to complicated for users.
Credits are only given at the end of trailers - and all is sold under GLab trademark.

- Erika Korti's cult SOS Mexico girl Katie Montana in her 2021 comeback.

Thank you for this poll.
In my opinion the range is from amateur to expert level. I cannot understand why anyone running a studio would make the effort to get great performers, make all the preparations and then have an amateur to shoot the video?
It is also not just about pointing the camera at the action, having close enough zoom, not shadowing the girls and having the right settings on the camera, that should be basic/mandatory. It is also about finding the right angles, capturing emotions and making smooth transitions.
The cameraman and the director need to be in total sync and aligned regarding what they want the outcome to be.
I used to comment on the performers but they are often so great now that there is not much to say. I find though that the new studios are not yet on par with the experienced ones and that is sad. Why not hire a pro and learn from them? It cannot be more expensive to have a professional photographer compared to wasting a scene with sub par photo?

That's exactly the problem I had voting: Casting first 2 votes was clear, but than finding a 3rd studio to vote for was more difficult than I thought setting up that poll.
I compared all 8 other options and all had massive weaknesses, most surprising for me they are at Yummy, where actually Luis is cameraman it would seem. Could be he switched roles with that Brasilian director though. Also all 4 Russian studios singled out here have very unbalanced range of videos. Most consistent seems NRX, but they do artsy stuff not working in my book often.
To be honest casting my 3rd vote I was a bit lost. Sad and puzzling.

I found some Natasha Teen videos very well shot. Like lately with Daniela Ortiz. Then the very promising FFFF had major flaws. It was great with the outdoor shooting, since the skin color becomes more natural but then the camera man must not shadow the action. Also, I am here for the gapes but not just a zoom in on a black hole. Some camera men are great at getting both gapes and a smiling face in the frame while others just seem to not think about what they are capturing on film.
Also for a 50 minute video, why give us 2 seconds of gapes twenty times? I don't mind watching a beautiful bottom for several minutes while someone squeeze and finger the goodies. As I so often have to say, just look at and learn from Mike Adriano.

Well, fans can't have it both ways.
The same people who admire the professionalism which Giorgio Grandi and Gonzo studios bring to their scenes, then complain that those experienced studios adopt cookie-cutter workflows and claim every scene looks the same.
The same people who criticise the new studios for their lighting and camerawork, enjoy the new and different approaches and storylines which new producers bring to their scenes.
So, I think it's fine to offer well-meaning constructive suggestions, but we fans also have to cut the newer producers some slack as they develop their skills, as a trade-off for the different looks which they bring to their scenes.

Absolutely!
I buy scenes from most studios, but I certainly want them to become better over time. It would be nice if they learned from each other, because there is no reason to make rookie mistakes if someone could guide you.
Most importantly, have a dialogue with your customers. It doesn't matter if we are not statistically representative, we could anyhow provide valid ideas. Then it is up to the studio if they want to try it.

Its maybe not the same people.
Anyway, forum is always an important hint together with sales. If forum meant nothing, directors wouldn't talk with users there. Representative or not, forum is kind of avantgarde not to be neglected, and that's actually good.
Btw, does somebody with a better eye than me see a real camerawork difference between GLab Erika Korti, GLab Oliver Strelly and VK?

The title of this thread should be:
Which of these LP studios has the least bad camera work?
(compared to the best studios/companies outside LP)

Voted for VK and Yummy. The two main studio's already have enough votes.
VK has the best camerawork of the Russian studios I think, and I was very impressed with Yummy's latest trailer with Candy Crush:
https://pornbox.com/application/watch-page/215762 It's difficult to separate camerawork and styling for me, so I find it hard to vote for studios where camerawork isn't poor, but where I don't like the look of the models, such as GIO, GLab and most Gonzo work.

Experienced the same.
Set up that poll and thought it was easy, but than especially 3rd vote cast proofed difficult to abstract from style, sex acts shot, studs and model base.

I'd say outside LP, it is Tushy who has the most advanced camera work, but I am undecided. While the lighting and camera setting is perfect, the scenery is not intimate despite ultra perfect close ups. They could serve as teaching material for gyn doctors (great) but often misses the personalities. The fake stories with a presenter reading the story makes you feel remote and the way they shoot makes you feel even more remote. Great photo, less inspiring atmosphere. Tushy Raw with dark room isn't worth watching. Same with the very popular Deeper by Kayden Kross, filmed in the dark and with rape and incest themes.
I realise that I am difficult to satisfy. On the one hand I want perfect resolution, lightning and explicit photo. I want to dig into the ladies gapes with my eyes! On the other hand I want to see their personalities, smiles and their body curves. I understand that it has to be master class level to do that, but why not strive in that direction, experiment and see what takes us forward and what was just learning experiences?
As I have said before, Gio's material is the best I have found anywhere, still there is room for improvement and the one which have those things missing with Gio is Mike Adriano. The dialogue and the ass worshipping.

Edited to include different Russian GLab directors and not single out anyone. Only exception is Erika Korti doing her strap-on trick often. Scenes may be shot all around Russia, not only in Piter.
Please, I'd need a bit more voters, folks!

I absolutely hate too much close up, so whoever gives you the bigger picture the better.
Just buy any Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine to know what good camera work looks like.
Here are some examples:

I know that's photography, but for video now that we have 4K there are no excuses.
Good camera work is good camara work anywhere in the world.
I guess the main problem is that people still watches HD on their phones, and that's why directors compromise trying to please them.
But those of us with 120 inches screens and 4K projectors suffer for them.
Close ups are obviously important, but they need to be meaningful too. If all you do is close ups you are cropping something beautiful.

You got this wrong, I'm not the one watching the fairy porn, it is too small for me to digest.
And who talked about changing the style? You? It wasn't me. I like to see the big picture, I don't want that to change.

Although to be fair some studios can do better, but others have it down already, and I understand they have to compromise for the fairy people.

I'm not gonna vote.
In particular because all DAP-Addict polls,
allow you to cast more than one vote,
which in my humble opinion, make all of his polls,
yes, every SINGLE ONE of them,
completely useless... lol
But anyways.
I mean, imagine being able to vote for 3 different presidential candidates....
see my point?
Am I the only one who roles his eyes every time I see
DAP-Addict + poll, in the subject ???
I don't hate you DAP-Addict
Ok moving on,
I think, that camera work is perhaps, analvids worse aspect.
In my opinion, for a website that, seemingly has unlimited cash to produce whatever they like,
The camerawork is, subpar.
It's bad.
On all levels.
It's just terrible IMO, lol.
Like, I don't think, Analvids camera people,
directors, have watch even a single hour of basic cinematography techniques on YouTube,
a free source, let alone go to a school for professional training.
I would argue that Giorgio probably has training,
I don't know, maybe he just have massive amounts of experience,
buuuuut, he's not filming movies anymore. So IMO he doesn't count.
I do like Luis camerawork
But, i remember the first time I saw Blanche Bradburry
outside of Legalporno, working for Brazzers
and
I was mindblown, by how much better she looked like,
with loving camera work.
Made by somebody, who actually cares to make them look good.
lol
ugh
