I am not certain of what you try to achieve but I get the feeling that you get off by verbally describing what you see as opposed to just giving a performance review and a rating. I like that!

I always download scenes to watch them as well but to make GIFs you want to view them in Pornbox. When the movie is playing, there is a link to the GIFMaker towards the top-right of the screen. I expect you can work it out from there but ask if you have any questions. It's always good to see more people posting good GIFs .

I think you're making is sound massively harder than it is there!

I'll add that personally I wouldn't get hung up on trying to get GIFs here to loop. If a good bit can be made to loop convincingly then great but generally the camera moves around too much and I often prefer to see a longer segment of a scene highlight anyway.

The way I make his now is waaay more complicated.

Although, small loops are still basically the same.

I know scene reviews take time but are also a labour of love. For animated gifs i use Instagiffer. For high resolution screen caps i use SMPlayer. Both are freeware and easy to use/learn.

I just had a quick play with Instagiffer out of curiousity, and unless someone specifically wants to add a caption it looks to me like using the GIFmaker that is part of Pornbox is a far simpler option for adding GIFs to this forum.

You have a free gif maker directly inside pornbox that produces links that can be pasted here.

I like Instagiffer for the control it gives over final output. Cropping, playback speed, resolution, number of frames (12 fps works fine for a short gif and keeps file size low). For a free program it's quite versatile.

Yes, you do need to download the scene...then know and adjust time markers for what you want to capture, but to me that it's all part of the creative process.

Yeah, I totally get that Instagiffer offers greater functionality. I was just making the point for someone new to this that the Pornbox option is much more straightforward to use and does all anyone really needs for sharing GIFs on this forum.

One thing I actually really didn't like was how clunky it was to find sensible start and end times within the application, to the extent if I were to properly try to use it I think I'd end up doing this in a separate video viewer first and then entering the values in Instgiffer. Being able to set and end time would be my preference rather than a duration as well.
