Firstly just want to say kudos to LP for some very good recent scenes. I bailed a few months ago (not for the first time) because of the excessive male aggression and annoying egotistical male performers but was lured back by some great looking trailers recently and have a batch of about 10 scenes that really hit the mark without the male ego and thuggishness that tends to marr a lot of LP scenes for me. Great scenes and up there with the very best in LP history.

However, there is 1 thing that has spoiled 2 of my latest buys (Jennifer Mendez Gonzo and Anita Blanche IV scenes), namely a tendency to hold the girl’s head/hair for really long periods. This is really frustrating because it kills the energy of a scene and suppresses the girl’s slutty heat. An ex of mine enjoyed having her hair pulled during sex so I do get that aspect but that’s very different from just holding the girl’s hair or head, which just looks like some kind of weird ownership or deliberate expression suppression thing. Chris Diamond is a big culprit with regard to this so he’s very much on my avoid list just now.

Related to this I often find that the LP guys have a propensity for sweeping a girl’s hair over to the side, often doing it repeatedly if a girl throws her hair back. I call this the “old maid” as it has the effect of making very attractive young women look like, well, old maids. Not sexy at all. There was an old Kandy Kors scene that was totally ruined by this. Kandy had very long and beautiful hair but the guys were adamant that it would be bunched and swept to one side rather than flowing sexily down her back. Such a passion killer for me and sadly I couldn’t watch that scene as a result.

Just looking at the latest Florane Russell Gonzo trailer it appears that again there is a lot of hair holding and also Florane’s long hair seems to be swept to the side in most of the positions. For me an instant pass as a result. It seems this might be a bit of a trend then and something I’m going to have to watch out for as I can’t support it.

Anyone else noticed this? Anyone actually favour seeing a lot of hair/head holding and even find the “old maid” hair sweep move/look attractive?

Haven't noticed it to be honest in any recent scenes. To be fair, of the scenes you mention, I don't own the Anita Blanche IV scene, nor the latest Florane scene for Gonzo, and haven't gotten around to watching the Jennifer Mendez scene yet. But in other scenes it didn't stand out for me. Now you've made me aware, I'm probably gonna be nitpicking them for a while to see if it's noticeable.

To your question, I don't particularly like the hair holding at all. I'm a fan of girls with long hair so I'm already bummed if they wear it in a bun or something like that, blocking me from seeing their face/hair in full glory. Let the hair flow.

There is no conflict of interest whatsoever between hard sex and the type of acts I'm describing. If there was then I wouldn't own hundreds of LP scenes that don't feature this phenomenon.

As I say, it's not so much hair pulling that I object to but the constant holding of a girl's hair/head during a scene. It's a very static action (very much in contrast to hair pulling, which does contain energy) that seems designed to restrict the girl's movement and (presumably) assert a stud's authority over a girl. They are not the same thing.

My feeling here is that the likely reason its done is to keep hair out of the way of the action and by default creates an 'act' too.

Previous times back in early Gonzo era (say up to SZ800) - the girls hair was tightly pulled back from the forehead, into ponytails, clasped or heavily sprayed to stay in place.

There was no need for the guys to hold the head (and pull the hair away). Indeed how heavily sprayed probably meant the guys couldn't/wouldnt' touch it.

Its likely a by product - Hairstyles are a lot more free and so we see more head and hair grabbing so we can see cocks in mouths.

But I would agree, i liked the scraped back hair look so would agree with opening posters sentiments.

To reiterate the original point, my problem is when the issue happens throughout the entire scene. These are the only 2 scenes I have where that is the case. We basically never see either Jennifer or Anita without their head/hair being held, which is disappointing to me because I want to see the girls in their own element and spending at least large parts of the scene (ideally the majority) moving freely.

That isn't the same as saying "I don't want to see a girl have her hair pulled".

It's also factually incorrect to suggest that holding a girl's head or hair for very long periods is a natural byproduct of hard sex. It absolutely isn't. Or if it is then 99% of the LP scenes I own are not hard sex scenes.

This isn't about "hard sex" vs "soft sex". It's about the pros and cons of excessive head and hair holding and whether LP consumers want to see scenes with that. I don't but that's just me.

Turning the debate into a more general "I like harder scenes than you" squabble is both unhelpful and, frankly, a little dull.
