Massive shout out to my man misangrenegra2 who helped me with research for this thread.

What better place to start than with MISSIONARY. The position has some similarities to some other solo positions which makes it more complex than you think. If the scene were solo and there was only one guy on the bottom then this would be the PEARLY GATES or LIBIDO position - with the girl's back against the chest of the guy. With the second guy on top - he assumes a more MISSIONARY type pose. So it's kind of a hybrid. Let me take a stab at why it's hot:

This is rcDAP.
Missionary DAP has no stud below, none anchoring basically, and is thus very seldom. Piledrive DAP (see just above!) isn't the same as missionary DAP, but indeed it comes closest.

Excellent call misangrenegra2! I botched the roll out a bit - I was going to drip feed the pics but you're totally right. Better to have the glossary upfront. Tell me if you all disagree but I think that DAP positions are actually adaptations of solo anal positions. So I started by looking at different sites and seeing if there were common existing names for solo positions, so we wouldn't have to start from zero.

There's no detailed outline for DAP but this link is a good starting point https://fyfriendlyfire.com/guide-to-dp-positions/. It's not compiled by an absolute authority so we don't need to be married to their names/ideas. LP is the global headquarters for DAP...so you know who the real authority is on the subject? Us.

You raise a great point about Reverse Cowgirl...I would argue that Reverse Cowgirl is a slightly different pose. She needs to be straddling the bottom stud and facing away from him (like riding a horse backwards) - and not laying down. If she's laying down with her legs spread it's closer in spirit to the MISSIONARY POSITION or SPREAD EAGLE. This is exactly why I wanted to start this thread by the way! To hear everyone's great ideas.

I wouldn't go as complicated.
Of course we can have 50 DAP positions with funny names, but I think its essential to group them into around 10 commonly known with commonly known names.

There were only a few positions in the last 5+ years of this forum users called differently like side straddle DAP/recerse side straddle DAP vs. King of Clubs DAP/reverse King of Clubs DAP. In my early DAP posts I even used to call this one clumbsy parallel DAP/reverse parallel DAP. I resolved lately to King of Clubs DAP because its good for abbreviation, i.e. kok DAP / rckok DAP.
reverse cowgirl DAP (rcDAP) wasnt amongst them. Of course if the girl is laying down on her anchors chest and rises her legs it comes close to a single anal missionary, but what does that distinction practically imply? You'd rather put yourself in a directors position explaining your girls and studs what position you want them to perform after a break. Spread eagle btw will be more difficult for most girls then single rcdap. I like the idea of trying to move towards a simpler/streamlined definition of positions - fifty complicated names is going overboard. The solo reference images are just some kindling for the fire - some of the names are quite elegant I think but I concede that it's subjective. I hope this thread can be the place where we discuss these things and come to sort of general agreement (eventually). Maybe there are eight positions...maybe more, maybe less. If there was a detailed breakdown somewhere on the web, from an authoritative source, we wouldn't need this thread.

Its much more balls deep than rcdap or doggy DAP for sure.

Important is to differ between missionary and piledrive position.
The position here is clearly piledrive and not missionary.
Missionary DAP is basically missionary pussy only position, probably the most traditional sex position of all of them, but used by 2 dicks fucking a girls ass. Its really difficult to do and this also really rare.

I'll chime in and agree that this is the best DAP position! It's the best angle to view her ass getting really stretched out, and it allows for deep penetration on both of the guy's cocks.

One of the rarer DAP position missing so far is what I'd call SPOON DAP, influenced by single pussy position names again.
