I can remember back to the days of not having access to porn. Then when I became 18 I made good friends with the guy who owned the local Adult Shop and I got my porn from there...my God I must have spent thousands over the years. I wanted to get involved in the industry back then but it was before the Internet took off and I was living in the UK at the time and UK porn then wasn't great bar a few but they all tended to use the same studs again and again. I did email a lot of companies enquiring and heard back from a few sent off documents and they said they would put me on the list. I heard back then porn studs were more of a word of mouth type thing and didn't want some stranger turning up because most guys who turn up cant get hard.

It got me thinking about the industry today as it is saturated with a mass amount of porn. I think Louis C.K said one time if you took a new born baby and started him watching porn by the time he dies at 100 years old he still wouldn't be past the Anal section (he is a comedian for those who don't know). So how different is the porn industry now in terms of finance than it was say 10 to 20 years ago basically before the internet? Can someone Start a company now and be successful?

Just some thoughts maybe someone with more inside the industry experience can let me know.

Like any product that's being sold, it's all in the marketing. It's amazing how many sub standard offerings can be in demand by the masses.
In terms of pornography though, I'd take quality production & great content over simply headlining starlets & cast.
Direction, editing & location are equally as important if not more so than the cast.

It's easier than ever to make some $$$ from it for sure. But hard to make a lot of course.

Like anywhere else... the bigger you get and the the more you make, the more of a target you become.

I am not 100% sure but, if you have some good money to begin (for travelling and first contracts), could find 3 or 4 really thick cocks guys with chemistry and that could fuck good DP scenes, i think that is possible to make really good money with a company!!
