there was a time when I though these guys were the best, beyond doubt. I am losing faith. They get girls like AJ Applegate with Maddy O'Riely and manage to fuck it up. how does that happen? I am guessing many will say I am talking shit but how you can ignore the terrible unnatural lighting and bad camera work of their latest AJ and Maddy scene is beyond me. I taken to changing my own colour setting to make the scene watchable and it still looks like crap. why when charging that much for a scene cant they make it decent quality! why use that ridiculous colour scheme! Its a joke and to be honest I am pretty much done with LP. been a long time fan but I am feeling ripped off these days. If the mods leave this up I will admire them for it....

Interesting post. You say you're losing faith and feeling ripped off, and then quote in evidence your detailed criticisms of 1 isolated scene.
So nobody can respond your post except about that 1 scene, which you and others already discussed in AJ's thread.

I partly agree that some LP work has become formulaic, constantly regurgitating a previously winning formula based on past sales.
But if we want LP studios to take risks and be different we also have to accept sometimes they won't get it right first time.
I've criticised some IV scenes and others have criticised Gonzo about the AJ and Maddy scene.
IMO constructive criticism enables the studios to improve their offer.
Losing faith only comes later if they still don't improve.

After reading your post I went and looked at Evil Angel. If you like what's there, then good for you, enjoy.
Different people see things differently. I saw some pretty models at EA but many scenes horribly staged with ugly make-up, nasty costumes and looking gaudy and gimmicky. If I liked EA I'd buy their stuff, much cheaper than LP. But apart from some Rocco scenes there was nothing much there to interest me.

I am finding most scenes lacklustre to be honest, especially in terms of quality. I cant stand the colour schemes they use now, previous scenes looked more vibrant, colourful. I have seen others complain about it but to no avail, they continue the white washed out look. this is my last complaint about the lack of quality as am sick of getting no feed back about it. the direction has also been bad, I understand there are new cameraman but why use them on a block buster scene that included two of the top american talents? let them get some experience first surely, to expect customers to pay 8 tickets for that is a joke. maybe its just me, all I can say is I dont like their content as much as I used to.

Yeah, IDK what happened with that scene. I should actually watch it before trying to form an opinion. But I agree it's a double whammy if the LP boss is critical of the camerawork and the high price on his own wesite. But what will happen as a result? Hopefully LP will consider the whole situation and not necessarily just throw the new camera lady under a bus.

Anyway, I'm sort of happy because AJ and Maddy seem to give a great performance and I hope they had fun.

And at the end of the day it's your money and your choice whether you want to buy any more LP scenes.

I have to agree with your comments about the camerawork in this scene. It was a claustrophobic, jittery mess. There's more to shooting a porn scene than shoving a camera into the action and hoping for the best. The scene felt poorly planned and executed from start to finish making it a huge disappointment for me.

I think it's been highlighted around these parts that it's been seen as a mistake to let an 'expensive' scene, such as AJ and Maddy's, be directed by a novice. It could have worked out that Proxy was a natural behind the camera too but not entirely.
People by nature don't like change but for business, such as LP, is, keeping the status quo is the most dangerous thing they could do. Change is good. I'm sure sales will reflect that. Soon, it'll stay the same for some time to come

It's OK that those are your very individual personal opinions. But that's not an argument for asking LP to change, just to meet your personal preferences.
And the things you complain about are also features of Evil Angel which is being touted in this thread as the shining example.

I'm not crazy about using the same white room. But, the "lighting" and "color scheme" hasn't bothered me.

My impression is that LP has improved with better cumshot scenes and other features the community asked for (deepthroating, outdoor scenes, different outfits, etc).

Still room for improvement (I point to movies from the 2000s as the gold standard). But, in my opinion, they've given reason to have more faith.
