Any and all football chat, even yawn inducing friendly internationals.
Dortmund winning 8-4 yesterday in Champion's League, today Bayern beaten 3-2 to newcomers Rostov. Last round of course Real got stuffed by Legia Warsaw.
My predictions for tonight just as they're about to kick off:
Arsenal 2-1 PSG
Atletico 2-0 PSV
Celtic 2-2 Barcelona
Ludogorets 1-0 Basel
M'gladbach 1-3 Man City
Napoli 2-0 D. Kiev

Liverpool? That gives me an idea. How about Cuckold Football? I'll bet Ronaldo would be excellent at that, as always

Perhaps we shall pick our porn/LP dream teams ?
I know it seems to be just another Top-10 (to be exact - top-11) idea, but I think it can be developped if each of us would justify concisely her/his picks, especially why she/he picked a given girl/stud for a given position on the pitch. For instance, if You put Giorgio Grandi as Your trequartista, Mike Chapman as Your sweeper, Timea Bella as Your fullback or Linda Sweet as Your goalkeeper, explain why. Just for fun.
What do You think about that ? Or, perhaps, shall this thread remain porn-free ?

Liverpool aside, my football knowledge is pretty poo tbh and i think about porn pretty much most of the day so I am always happy to keep things slightly porn focussed but I'll let John make that choice

Indeed and as I am feeling particularly sordid today, he could happily show off his ball skills at my place
He is very distinguished I must say and has certainly galvanised the players and the
RED half of the city

League is 100 times tougher than union. The 10 metre rule alone accounts for this (not to mention the 2 fewer players per side). Even cross-code successes of a union favouring bent like Sonny Bill Williams admit this.
I had a YouTube compilation of NRL hits lined up as Exhibit A for the prosecution but see that you can't link YT clips here.

Real has already played two matches against Legia:
Real-Legia 5:1
Legia-Real 3:3
In the last round: Real vs Borussia, Legia vs Sporting.
p.s. Legia in the last two matches (with Real Madrid and Borussia) scored 7 goals.

It's good that they'll go down fighting. There's always one periodically. My predictions for tonight's Europa League games:
All under 10·5 goals

The first rounds of Champions League are alomst unwatchable by now, nearly as boring as most of the national leagues.
Only this season:
Barcelona - Celtic 7:0
Bayern - Rostow 5:0
Man City - Gladbach 4:0
Legia - BVB 0:6
Zagreb - Juventus 0:4
Real - Legia 5:1
Arsenal - Rasgrad 6:0
Sevilla - Zagreb 4:0
BVB - Legia 8:4
Real competition died like ten years ago, in the end it's always the same five or six clubs to win the trophy.

CL is all about cash. The real fans want trophies, not endless runs in Europe but winning nothing. Sad but true

The play-off rounds are also boring. As You point out, in the end there are always the same clubs that are opposed to each other. This is aggravated by the decline of Italian teams, except of Juventus.

The Premiership has ruined football, in my opinion, and it's only going to get worst. We'll eventually move to a situation where the "Champions" League is only the top Premiership clubs, and whoever else still has money and players left after they've hoovered all it up. As it is, teams like Celtic already may as well not bother showing up for the Champions League, doesn't matter how many fans they attract, they are now struggling to compete with Championship sides in England, in terms of revenue and quality of player they can attract. I'd rather watch the Europa League, though it would be better if they would get rid of the league element and make it a knockout competition. No money in that though, so that'll never happen.

Celtic are stuck though because historically they are perpetual kings in a small poor quality league and the English leagues won't let them join and gain exposure to real competition.
But is that really different to e.g. Sparta Prague? Do other Czech teams get into European competitions very often? Same for Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, etc. Yet Sparta beat Southampton. Not sure Celtic could do that.
What annoys me is requiring Andorra or San Morino to play against major footballing countries in internationals. It's not fair and there should be a more appropriate competition for them where they have a chance to win one day and not be treated as a joke.
It's like asking Iceland to be competitive against England ...
... Oh, wait ... fuck

How quickly people forget when the going gets tough; he won the toughest league in football only 18 months ago.
They're not getting the rub of the green at the moment, they've been the better side in quite a few of their bad results this season, including today where Randolph played a blinder and earned West Ham the draw.
I'm seeing a different man on his second stint in the premiership though. The pressure of him being expected to consistently deliver is slowly taking its toll imo, and it's only a matter of time before this train derails again. It can't be helping that he has none of his family around him for support, but ultimately this is all his own making, his success, his arrogance, his at times complete lack of respect for players and staff (in the case of Eva,) people love to see someone like that fail. As a Chelsea fan, whilst I enjoyed the successes under him, I always hated the lack of humility that was on show.
I think they'll come good in the long term, they won't challenge in the league this season though, and like everywhere else he's been, I'll be surprised if he makes it past 3 seasons at Man U.
