Scenes too bright or white

I notice that LP sometimes do bright white scenes that to me discolours the girls skin so it doesn't look natural, this added to the white sofas and walls makes a scene pretty useless to me. It gives it a soft glare look that doesn't look natural at all. I noticed that in the last few weeks there are a lot more of these scenes. I really wish they would just use colours that bring out the girls natural skin without this effect. I know it sounds a bit picky but was wondering if anyone else noticed this or are not bothered by this colour scheme? Really bothers me, I literally don't buy scenes where I see they are completely white like that. I'm not suggesting changing the room! it seems more like an effect or filter choice maybe.

Yep, makes the girls look sickly and pastey. This has ruined most of gonzos new scenes for me. The girls just don't look attractive or real. Don't know whether its the lighting, makeup or filter but its really bad.

Hope it ends soon.

My gut feeling is that they are doing it as a reflex response to the complaints about the "same boring set". It has successfully hidden the background, but unfortunately also hides the girls skin colour...

Yes, this result makes me very nervous. Too bright (maybe too much light from the lamp?). I hope that it will improve.

Glad I am not the only one that thinks this. I posted about the logo as well a while ago, really messes up the scene sometimes, why block content! These guys shoot amazing stuff but they ruin their own scenes sometimes, totally unnecessary. Its been a massive process just getting them to repair scenes with frame rate issues. The "White scenes" are ones I just skip, no matter how hot the girl is I cant stand that effect.

They did listen and repair some of those scenes which is a positive, whether they will do anything about the pasty white effect is another matter....

I think the "brightness" changed when Gonzo studio switched camera's last year, and started shooting scenes in 4K (sometime around January 2015).

It's not a make or break for me, as I love the fact that these scenes are now captured and uploaded at a much higher resolution!

But I have to admit, the colors did "pop" more with the old camera.

It would be nice to have the best of both worlds. High resolution and colors that "pop" more. But that would likely require Gonzo studio investing in an entirely different camera setup.

I'm no expert, but that sounds expensive.

I don't think they need a new camera setup. A darker coloured sofa and a warmer shade of paint on the walls would make a world of difference.

They don't even need to go that far. Just get a sofa cover and put up a cheap fake wall or curtain behind. Would cost nearly nothing and take hardly any time to set up. Then see if this fixes the problem.

I hope the production crew are aware that its a problem.. as its has ruined quite a lot of scenes. You would have thought they would have noticed by now and at least tried something different.

The contrast and overall light balance has usually Giorgio Grandi by far the best.
Gonzo has washed out colors, burnt whites and low contrast (low dynamics), but the positive side is you don't get too much shadows in the pussy and ass, which is good.
Newest Sineplex is the worst.

Yeah, this is one of the main factors I have not bought near as many scenes as I used to. The horrible sterile environment they shoot in completely wash out flesh tones, the girls look like ghosts sometimes and blend into the all white environment. There have been threads about this for years but LP will never change unfortunately. Just once I wish they would realize shooting scenes in a room with color actually makes the girls look realistic. This was especially bad for the piss scenes as the clear piss would just blend in with the background.

Yes, yes and yes. This is a major thing LP needs to improve. The too bright and white light makes the hair and skin looks lifless. A softer light would make it look more natural and then you also would see the major importance of "too much makeup"!

I know these latest pics in the gonzo preview thread pics aren't proper screenies but it does look like they have improved the ambient colour a bit. Fingers crossed its of the end of these frosty the snowman scenes.

Not only is there no colour, but these white scenes look grainy and crap. Such a shame cuz the sex actually looks really strong but the scenes unenjoyable because it makes all the girls look like they have the plague. Normally hot girls are not stimulating. To me the old 720p scenes looked better than these new 4k scenes. Is this the cost of going digital?

Look at the American girls they have had recently. They look way uglier than in their US scenes that don't suffer from these "technical" problems.

I found AJ Apllegate's the same. I'm sure it doesn't bother everyone but there must be a few that find the colours of these scenes bland?

Well there is an upside. White translates into better frame rate and smaller movie files. It's a 1's and 0's thing. A lot of those 10~15gb 4k vids would be 20+gb if they didn't white-out the scene.

But I agree it's a motherfucker having to adjust the brightness from scene to scene.
