Just a thing, it looks like it impacts the best sellers page too : I only have the scenes from the studios I have on high priority shown. For example I've put GIO at normal priority and there is no GIO scene on the first page.

Grade studios, major | middle | minor as per sales, so AV are happy...

Limit "minor" studios to 1 upload per day...

This is for THEIR benefit that people don't disqualify them from view, & ours in that minor gems aren't unappreciated...

This is why I instantly hide all new studios which obviously have amateur content - from the first scene! All the POV and webcam shit with the worst lightning and camera work.

Some are afraid that they could skip great scenes if the studios become better. I think there is no reason to be afraid. If a studio will deliver quality content, we will see that in the forum.

If we buy the low quality shit the models will become more and more lazy and stay in their comfortable situation with producing amateur content only. We need to prevent this. It's obviously the only way to see quality content in the long term.

Longer term members will probably mostly keep hiding content they're not interested in as we know there is good stuff buried amongst the junk, although this is still annoying. Where I think Pornbox should worry more is newer members who may be put off.

So I've just hidden 10 studios (not videos) based on today's new releases. We really do seem to be moving away from any sense of a premium porn site IMHO. Yes the Feed can be used but should there actually be any good quality new content then that would never be seen. Some greater sense of quality control for what can be sold would improve the experience IMHO.

Of course if sales for all the new content are great I'm obviously a minority to be ignore but with the prices of some of the content I'd be pretty shocked if they were.

There should at least be a threshold of 20+ videos before anything can be called a ‘studio’.
And frankly, anything not filmed IN an actual fucking studio, with professional lighting, camera, director etc should get dumped into a folder called ‘amateur bullshit at insane prices’.

I started pushing down the amateur studios at first because of FOMO but am really regretting that now. The process of going back and hiding afterwards is painfully slow.

The bad idea was, to turn this once great site into a site looking and feeling like a tube site.

I will give an amateur studio a chance if the girl is hot and does extreme stuff (Vile Vixen is a prime example) but only if that studio has trailers for their scenes. Anything with no trailers is an instant ‘hide’ and also anything which is just standard porn or girls I don’t find attractive.

I have got to the point now where I hide pretty much everything except the legacy studios so I’m really only seeing what I’ve always seen. It’s crazy to get to the bottom of that day’s content though and see 100+ scenes hidden. Thank God they included the hide feature so I don’t have to wade through all that stuff.

I've subscribed to the site for the majority of the last five years or so. I've occasionally bought extra tickets to buy more scenes. I used to be on checking for new content every night as soon as it went live.

That's done. Not happening again.

I imagine that with covid a lot of stuff changed and either it's not as easy to make money from content for the long standing players, or that these new proam vids are a really good revenue stream. Its completely ruined the site though. Its a mess. It's totally off putting. It's a complete turn off.

Who wants to have to either trawl through hundreds of crap to find scenes from actual studios that produce actual content not homemade meh.

I can't be fucked spending time configuring feeds by hiding ten new studios a day. Not a chance.

To be honest I didnt even bother to apply the new studio excluding/including tools. I just made sure all shown to me is straight only. Rest I simply got used to: Usually main AVLP studios plus Porn World (ex-DDF) show up in first 3-4 lines of new offers, rest are old re-releases or new crap or amateur studios. I simply ignore them and check only first 10-20 offers.
I might miss some pearls by new studios this way, but thats the price I gladly pay.

So I went all out and did a full rating/hiding for all studios available, then took a stroll down the tags list and filtered out all tags I don't want to see and I ended up with a beautiful clean website.

June 30: 44 hidden
June 29: 84 hidden
June 28: 71 hidden

And so on. Even though I like the analvids surfing experience way more than pornbox as pornbox has a very small design, but I'd rather take the slightly annoying design rather than the shitloads of lesbian/gay and amateur content we are bombarded with everyday from random studios.

My biggest issue with studio filtering is when a liked actress does a video with a less known studio. If you have said studio on your filter list, it makes it harder to find new content of your favorite stars, unless you check each actresses page every day. Worse is if someone makes a comeback, so you wouldn't normally check for new content with them. Now we get into adding individual stars as filters, like, dislike. And that will probably never happen.

Yeah same with me. Luckily Giorgio/Gonzo/Yummy Estudio scenes are in my first line and then I just ignore everything else. Maybe have a look at PAF or VK every now and then but they're generally too manhandle-y for me. I use the studio section occasionally just to check I haven't missed any.

I do think it's a shame that the scenes are less under the actual umbrella of AV/LP now than before. It's become a bit of a pound shop type presentation now - just stack it all on a pallet with the in-house stuff at the front. And I agree about the ridiculously long Porn Box Bot updates in the Models thread, which can kill ongoing conversations in certain girl's threads. That's not good for the girls so I think they should look into that.
