OK when the scenes are marketed as 'Mandhandle' or 'Heavy 10-on-1 Domination' etc, but every scene and all the time and it gets boring. And scenes where there is no brutal and dominating vibe to them seem harder to find.
For example, scenes where a model can give male performers oral without the male performer repeatedly whacking her on the back of the head (or hammering his bit into the back of her head as if he were trying to knock in a nail) almost never happen. It's almost always brutal. A long slow (even messy) deepthroat would be less rough and look better, I think.
I get that there often needs to be an 'exaggerated physicality' to gestures on screen to make them look real. That's theatre.
But when it's over-the-top aggressive all the time it often looks fake, even absurd.
It's like someone going into the butchers and punching the dead meat on the shelves. It's unnecessary. It's already tenderized, seasoned, all ready to eat.
There's no need to make a macho drama of dominating it. Maybe just try to relax and enjoy it?
I accept that there's an audience for that here (the 'scenes where a model is shy, uncomfortable, destroyed' crowd, not my scene but each to his/her own), and some female performers actively specialize in performing to satisfy that audience. Pair that audience and those performers up and it all works well.
But I don't think everyone here wants to see it in every scene. I'm pretty sure that not every performer wants to shoot heavy and aggressive in every scene. And for debuts with young and inexperienced performers, going in very heavy (too heavy, as is sometimes obvious) from the start can result in scenes that feel sad and depressing to watch, because (as a viewer) you feel that if a model struggled and was clearly very uncomfortable during a scene, then there is something ugly about you if you try to take pleasure from it.
Everyone is different but I can't enjoy very oppressive-aggressive debuts like that. And I don't think it's only me.
And extending from this 'aggressive debuts' issue (other members have commented on this very point in the threads of models who have gone because of it), it seems the site is losing more than a few potentially amazing new models (debut performers with real long-term prospects) by going in too-hard-too-soon, and being too demanding re acts and intensity before they are ready.
The disappearance of new models such as Nasty, Lagoona, Pinky, etc, after only two or three shoots seems to back that up.
By way of a huge caveat, I am not going to be so arrogant to make a claim that I know better than any of the directors here how to direct a new performer or shoot a scene (re limits, roughness, brutality), because I have never shot an adult scene or been on a porn set in my life. I admit I don't know nothing at all about shooting adult scenes.
All I have are my impressions from the other side of the screen. And from those impressions, it seems to me that there is a increasingly heavy-aggressive (negative) vibe darkening the mood of too many scenes lately.
When I first arrived here the atmosphere of the majority of scenes seemed to be far more positive and brighter in mood. Even fun. I'm referring to the 2015-2016 days of costumes and creme, Timea Bella, Linda Sweet, Foxy Di, etc.
The content was still there. Anal, toys, fisting, and still as much pee (not my thing but always an audience for it here).
But essentially everyone seemed to enjoy themselves during scenes and there was often a party atmosphere to the shoots.
If the site could regain some of that playfulness and positive energy (instead of the dark) I think it might be better for it.
PS. This is meant as constructive feedback (based on theme 'biggest frustration with the site').
And that said (for all it's worth), I still think this is by far the best adult site in the world. The most beautiful models, the best directors, and tons of great content week after week, all year around. So it's a frustration but certainly not a deal breaker at present.
Great post and I agree wholeheartedly.
In general more of a "girl first" approach is needed to the scenes, in other words the ethos needs to be maximising the girl's ability to sizzle from the screen above all else. At present it's more "guys first", ie unleashing a bunch of brutish guys to dominate and even overpower the girls. It's then a bit of a "survival of the fittest" thing with the girls. Some still do well in that environment, others less so. But
every scene would be hotter I think if the guys reined their egos and physicality in a little, without letting up one iota on the sexual energy and hardness of the sex action. In fact, it's often the case that the physical aggression directly detracts from the hardness of the sex action (Giorgio's Lab especially).
Like I say, I think things have improved a little in this regard of late. But it seems an effort and there is always the sense that LP can quickly revert to brutish, over-aggressive type.
More non-manhandle scenes please. Hands away from face/neck/shoulders. Keep the girls loose, free and expressive. Don't overpower them - let them sizzle! Keep the heels on. More panties pulled to one side. More skirts/tight dresses. More 0% pussy scenes.
