That's what porn is. 99% of people paying for porn are men. When porn producers think they're "artists" that's when you get over produced and just silly bullshit that doesn't make good porn. Go look at a bunch of scenes from Vixen/Tushy network. I'm sure many people like that "style." but there needs to be some thought that goes into it. Does the girl look at the camera or not? Tushy network, all the sites, scenes they never look at the camera. ever. Only TushyRaw they do. NaughtyAmerica has this style commonly as well. where the girl pretends the camera doesn't exist. That's one point. Another point is the camera angle, the position of the camera. Does it make sense or not? The camera should be the eyes of the viewer, and the viewer is almost always a straight man looking to jerk off. So if you think you're "creative" for putting the camera up the guys ass, no, you're not creative and you're making bad porn. Keep it fucking simple. Go watch JAV. The Japanese know exactly how to do it right. Everything is perfect. The lighting, the angles, performances, everything.
Personally, I prefer a mix of glamour and gloss (and differentiation within that, each new scene adding something different, a costume, a setting, styling, etc) with the porn content. And well lit and framed, director moving the performers around so not just one angle, mix of long, mid and close-ups.
If those sort of things are not attended to with care and thought, you can often end up with grungy repetitive Gonzo-esque hotel shoots, crappy lighting, cramped set (tiny room, one bed, wide-angle/fish-eye lens screwing up perspectives and proportions).
Gonzo had a time and place, which was a reaction to the ultra glossy Europroductions of the late 1990s. Much like Punk was a reaction to overindulgent prog-rock and stadium rock.
But it's been moved along and developed as an aesthetic since, because as a reaction to something, it originally only worked in that time and context, and (frankly) looking back from now, porn of that style and time are trashy and largely unmemorable in most part.
As for the male performers eye view, well too foten that is just a backside, back, back of head. Obviously it feels nice if you are that person in that situation (if you are fantasizing and trying to get a virtual reality feeling), but as a visual image, it is a fairly boring prospect.
To view a scene in a long or mid shot, and then imagine yourself being in any position any of the performers are in (often directors will cut in close-ups for each), is more open-ended, lets scenes breath and lets viewers choose their place.
Obviously it all sells, as the market contains both. Tushy is the glossy (shallow) end, and this site the harder (deeper end). I watch here not at Tushy.
As for your JAV mention, I would be interested to hear more. You have mentioned that around the sire a few times but I have to admit to knowing next to nothing of it. I have tried a few bondage scene but Japanese bondage is weird. It's very grungy and darkly lit (amusements and dungeons often), and the scenarios are weak. Unshaven is also the rule there it seems, which isn't my preference
But if you can (without looking like you are shilling for another site, so no links etc) suggest some studios, performers, directors, to look out for I would be interested to know more.
Obviously this is the decade China (in particular, East Asia in general) comes to dominate on the global stage (US in rapid decline, and worse yet, in denial about it). So that regions adult scene is about to really take off as a part of that increased regional prosperity and confidence. Would be cool to catch that wave. How and where to start???
