Agree. I have not experienced this era directly but there was lot of beautiful and unmistakable Hungarians & Czechs. The scenes were more amateur, it means even more natural and passionate and not as cold and machine as today.

I think big fetish scene with the hottest babe are just getting more and more expensive as these girls are not dumb, they know they are driving the site with their own beauty doing filthy thing, so they ask for the $ proportional to it. That's why Jolee love' wet scene are 9.5 tickets, while a less sexy babe doing worst stuff, like drinking sperm/cum/spit cocktail, can sell for 6.5 tickets. This is simple supply and demand economics. .
It is so. And because the wage relations are decreasing (remain the same but prices are going up), we see a minimum of new scenes from toprated and established models and and a quick end of promising-looking new models after few scenes. It will deepen with C19 farce
Pineapples Studio wrote:All of this obsession with market trends, specific sex acts, genres of porn etc. completely misses the point and is part of the problem with modern porn.
The most important thing is the feelings a video is able to evoke in the audience. Porn is all about feelings. It’s the visual hyper-representation of lust and it must succeed in making the audience feel lust or it does not really qualify as being pornographic. I think ideally, the director should follow what they are feeling every time they are shooting a scene and hope that their sexuality is shared by a segment of the audience large enough to generate steady profits.
The whole notion of thinking about porn in terms of data and analytics is wrong, IMO, and is the primary driver of the lack of passion and creativity in today’s content.
Very good description. It is basically self-identification with the producer and his conception, focus and style of creation scenes.Shift or change the concept is mostly starter of criticism (often corrected).

GG himself has said that if the sales figures for the first 2-3 scenes of a new girl are not great, she will no longer be invited. It is data and analysis that ensure that every day there are always the same scenes, with the same girls.
It's funny how free market that would allegedly guarantee development and progress denies itself.
TheVulture wrote:That's a very powerful push-and-pull effect that probably a lot of porn companies capitalised on. But again I don't think that automatically means that those girls were exploited.
I quite agree with your opinions on this topic but not on this point, because it is obvious that they are exploited. Therefore, they are hired from the countries of S.A. and the former Eastern bloc (de facto colonies of (not only) human resources) to keep costs as low as possible and profit as large as possible.

Very stimulating contribution which is and also isnt true. Agree that emotional attach to models may be a big problem. But some share of a career here can be if they are inspired wth the bestsellers which are bestsellers thanks to buyers.
