She didn't die from breast surgery. She died from medical malpractice. The surgery went well, but she was not well ventilated and the anesthesist was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter ; the hospital in Hamburg had to pay around 800,000 euros. -- regards

Interesting point but, frankly talking (I speak from the point of view of someone raised in a basically post-catholic place like Italy, that means a place where many people like to say that are Catholics to have something to be identified for,but don't like to follow what the Catholicism commands).
I don't think that adult entertainment performers commit suicide out of the stress for the profession (to some extent, is no more stressful to many professions that require either mental or physical effort). More likely, in part they have pre-existent problems (and I am not talking only of the lack of finances, but also the need to to porn to finance some addictions) that led them to choose a border-line occupation like that, in other part they cannot deal with the fact that their fans aren't able to see them only as workers that outside of the set have a life on their own. We accept that a physician, a sportswoman, even a mainstream actress, once out of their professional setting, is a person like anyone else. The porn performer is instead seen as an always sex positive person that is not entitled to be considered, out of her professional life, anything different than a subject of sexual attention by everyone "because she has chosen to have a name, fame and money through her body and sex skill". -- regards

Thanks a lot for your input, Tamara!
(I put those old quotes in right order below, since you are answering me and error.)
I think we have to realize its not only addictions in terms of drugs like anti-porners often claim, but social traumas and addictions, also level of self-confidence or the lack of it, attention grasping in social practices and protests.
One could say there is a certain type of women more likely to choose porn as a job. And it sure is a more vulnerable socio-psychological group then other stressy jobs like doctors or Catholic priests for instance.

Did I get you right with addictions = drugs? Or were you rather or also thinking of silicon injections, body adjustments?

dap-addict wrote:Porn girls do a physical job, they work with their body, but sex is only a part of their work. Society is their main enemy, especially christian guilt cult. Suicide is much more complicated than just (sex) work - society - relationship. Problem is that anti-porn crusaders like to use every porn girl suicide for their battle.

Im with you and thats the case that there is high social pressure not to do porn work. This causes the girls to feel bad and sometimes the do suicide. For people that cant manage the social pressure it would be better not to do this work.

I couldn't look at scenes just out of basic respect. A few come to mind...

The beautiful Magyar Linda Ray, who'd a fantastic body, who took her life.

Lea de Mae, who died of brain tumor so young, & had time to know her fate.

Sheridan, beautiful young Czech girl killed in car crash.

Even if someone didn't die, like Daniella Rush, paralysed, my feelings of what they must have gone through spiritually means out of Respect, I'll pass.

realy interesting thread.

i can understand everyones point of view...

Somehow i have the impression that often a kind of moral aspect has a hugh influence to some people. That porn is immoral and therefor its immoral to watch scenes with allready gone pornstars....

My point of view is : I watch and honour them as they are back then.A great gift which i luckyly are able to watch.

Godess Amadahy or JulieSkihigh are among the one i miss the most.

I do watch also pornstars in their younger days, though they are still in biz, or before doing boobenhacement, ore overink their bodys...i take them in their best times...
Do what girls want you to do : treat them like ladies!!!!and fuck them like sluts!!!
For me there are too less squirting girls in porn generaly

And what about all the dead spermatozoids do you even think about them? That's a truly disturbing and heartbreaking thought, that's why I never watch cumshots, i always cut the scene before the end, to honour their memory. :(

I have a folder named "RIP my little angels" with 300 bukkake videos in it that I never watch because it's too heartbreaking :o

Every sperm is sacred. Maybe that's why there are so many fake cumshots these days? :p

I was talking about drugs yes but in a broader sense also what you said does apply: being at the centre of a scene sort of dopes you, and attention also is addictive.
On the other hands you have lots of contrasts in this industry. A cousin of mine worked as make up artist for some Budapest based adult entertainment companies, and she reported me that several Hungarian pornstars were strictly conservative and religious and send their kids to some Catholic schools whereas on the set are able to take three in the tailpipe.

That said, too often the audience tends to permanently label a former pornstar for what she did during her heydays in the industry, not recognizing her the right to change life; on the other hand, though, if a pornstar really wishes not to be remembered for her past as pornstar, should not be going around with the stage name which she became famous with...
