Format/template ideas for an End of Year Favourites thread?

Not sure if there if there is any agreed template here for this, but it's obviously going to be a theme that people will think about in some form, and maybe want to voice their thoughts about, here in General Discussions (whoever he is).

Maybe it would be tedious to suggest possible formats or templates people could adopt in order to list their favourites, and it should just be anarchy 'who and what did you love? who and what were you not crazy about?' expressed in a different way for each person. I just thought I'd bang out a feeler thread to see if there was any consensus (or consensus for no consensus, as it may be) on the theme.

Category-wise, maybe 'favourite overall performer', and 'best newcomer' for performers (to give recent arrivals an equal chance of a place in noble mentions).

For scenes, take a similar line with 'favourite scene overall', then 'favourite scene by a new arrival this year'.

And then some random ideas. Maybe a 'Favourite Moment' from any scene for any reason. Or refine it a bit into 'Hottest Moment' and 'Funniest Moment' too maybe. I'm thinking out aloud at this stage. Feedback welcome.

Finally, I will also try to use 'favourite' rather than best in my list, if I can remember. As I only watch scenes by those performers I am attracted to, 'favourite' seems more fair than 'Best', which would make it sound as if had reached my conclusion after I had watched every single scene released for the year (that's DAPaddicts job, isn't it?).

And I will certainly try to illustrate it with images and gifs. But perhaps there should be a gif size cap too, because if a dozen people per page post a dozen 20mb gifs per page, then that page is never going to load for those without great connections. So maybe more inclusive to reserve that consideration.

Anyway, it could be a standard template that people generally work with but can improvise and abandon if they feel they want or need to go another way.

And as for timing, there's still nearly two months of the year left and many surprises may be around the corner. So maybe member could aim to post these in the week between Christmas and New Year, when many people are on holiday.

So a mix of classic romantic tragic passion with a dark alt-goth twist.

She also has a tattoo for reference (in a lovely place).

I agree with you re it being a good idea to include a section for models who are no longer releasing here, or doing adult work at all, but who have released great content here this year and so definitely deserve honourable mentions and praise.
Sharlotte's one-on-one debut was probably my favourite scene on the site for the first half of the year, and it still ranks highly among them.

But I also wasn't sure whether (as she has now withdrawn/taken an indefinite break) how to include her. Or indeed, whether she even wants to be mentioned or visible in the xxx spotlight anymore. Maybe she would prefer to be forgotten for a while (or permanently), so she can more quickly move on to another creative chapter in her life with the least baggage.

Re They year: What worked? What didn't work? It could work, but could equally turn into another bitching thread, of which there are already too many here. But the potentially a useful idea.

Re formalising any kind of format (my initial theme).
I think the fact this post has been up for a whole day and only had one comment-suggestion so far (but a good one), inclines me to feel that people are not really interested in any formal kind of scheme for expressing their favourites, and would rather share their thoughts and feelings on the year in their own way, as and when they feel appropriate.
And perhaps a thread will evolve organically from that.

This will be my lasting memory of 2021

Favourite Performer 2021.
West Side (Colombia): Valentina Milan.

Since a picture (or gif) can express a thousand words, have two.
I could write pages on why I am so in love with Valentina (and I do, it's called the Valentia Milan thread here!), and why I think all of her scenes are so great, but I am trying to keep this post more list-ish (than epic romantic novel-ish).
So adore these images, visit her thread (regularly), and buy all her scenes FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.

In summary, Valentina is the best and wins absolutely everything. Know it!
East Side (Russia): Sofi Li.

I have split my best (favourite) performer of 2021 into West and East categories, to give the Russians a way into my favourites (dominated by the Colombian performers and content this year).
And Sofi is by far my favourite of all my follows among the Russian models, so deserves some spotlight here. Her scene with Carla best demonstrates why. If you haven't seen it, do, and you will learn to love Sofi too.
Sofi is completely adorable as a figure of a woman (her dark and intense brown eyes, her lush brunette colouring, her subtle and silky curves), she is the cutest of the Russian performers in her performer character (very much a Russian Valentina in that way, sometimes shy, sometimes sensual, sometimes assertive, always very feline and kittenish). So Sofi presses all my buttons.

Sofi also represents to me the fabulous Russia of the South (all the way down to Ukraine) in her delicious dark colouring, and cute and graceful manner.
Everyone knows the steely blue-eyed, blonde, pale-skinny Russian stereotype of the North, huddled in furs against the snow, because that is the one most known to tourists who think Russia is Moscow/Piter.
But there is also a glorious southern Russia in many ways is the complete opposite.
There the women are soulfully dark-eyed and deeply sun-tanned (not yellow machine tanned), with luscious black curls and voluptuous curves. And not found in furs and snow, but wearing bright cotton dresses, wandering in fields of sunflowers and foxes, and through forests of silver birches and wild deer that never end.
Sofi represents that (perhaps healthier, saner, even happier) Russia to me. She's just intensely lovely.

Alas, while Valentina has benefited from being an integral member of the LT/YE/NT Colombian team (first class styling, directing, support network), Sofi has often seemed lost and out on a limb by comparison. Her styling has seemed erratic, some good scenes were affected by poor lighting, and her output (here) has been infrequent. She has been consistently superb as a performer, but her productions are not always showing her off to her best.
That said, Sofi has shot more consistent (quality control wise) scenes outside AV (FirstAnalQuest and TeenMegaWorld) which I have loved, even if it is gentler and softer compared to AV 'standards'.

It has been Colombia's year for me. The adorable models, the intense passion of the performances, the fabulous styling. Whether in their own productions and when on tour as a team at other studios, it has all been superb.
So rather than pick performers, scenes or studios to try to represent that whole 'Colmbian' thing, I have instead gone with an award for 'Most Important AV Person of 2021' to Natasha Teen (aka 'La Jefe' to her team).

Natasha's seemingly inexhaustible positivity, her extraordinary professionalism and commitment, her dedication to being there for her team, her creativity and her ambition for herself and her team, are to be admired and wondered at.
And all that organization and professional endeavor is in addition to her being a star performer here.

So I laugh out aloud in contempt when I read idiotic (misogynist) comments here along the lines of 'these women are just whores', because when you look at a figure like Natasha, a dismissive analysis like that doesn't seem merely uniformed, it seems deranged (and a bit jealous?).
Natasha is a star performer, an agency manager, a tour manager, a book-keeper, a promotional team, a casting agency and a million other things besides, including a confidant and friend to her loyal team.

So to summarize clearly (to those critical voices at the back):
Natasha is a (successful) business woman and sex is her business. Recognize and respect that always.

I agree with Justin (Warren) in making the NTeens great adventure to CZ 'The AV Event of 2021'.
The gradual release over this year of all those sensational scenes shot during that trip has raised the overall standard of content on this site from maybe a 7/8 to a 10. In collaboration with the AV house studios Gonzo and GG they have been the lifeblood and the beating (racing) pulse of AV 2021.

For the best scenes I will add links rather than photos to them so you can watch the trailer (and buy them) if you don't already know them. If I add photos for everything this will page will take years to load.
I will also add that these are my favourite scenes that are not Valentina Milan scenes, otherwise this would just be a list of all her scenes so far.

I could post a dozen images from this and it still wouldn't say everything (just buy it and watch it).
But I will chose one standout image among so many. Maryana and Nick in a 'sloppy oral' shot from under glass. A out-there inspired original porn image, that as soon as I saw I suspected would be my choice for 'visual moment of the year'.

I would also add (if Nick read this) that I could very happily (very) watch a ton of 'oral-only' scenes shot exactly like this, with the camera constantly switching from above glass to beneath throughout the scene. It could even become a entirely new genre that Nick could call his own.
(There is a gap in the market left by GG's GagsGirls (and Max, of course) for intense 'sloppy oral' that US sites like Swallowed and HotshotHookups currently dominate, but European sites genuinely could).

While Nick has had his troubles trying to develop, extend and retain female performers this year (with so many young and inexperienced performers at NRX, that goes with the territory, as they will be less likely to have decided if they want to commit to porn or worked out their limits).
But his technical abilities, as demonstrated in key NRX showcase scenes like this, are outstanding.

And that's it for my 'awards', for all that awards in a collaborative (not competitive) artform mean.

PS. I will add some more in this thread at some point as 'honourable mentions', because there are performers such as Anna De Ville, Scharlotte Thorn and Polina Ice that have all lit up my porn year in different ways this year, but this post is already an essay, so I need to stop somewhere now.

Great summary of 2021, obviously I am in agreement with calling it the "Year of the Colombians" I have already stated how I feel about the Natasha Teen Productions from late 2020 early 2021 when we saw the birth of Nteens and of course the spring Prague trip with the Fab Five. We are still seeing the effects of these efforts. Lighting in a bottle for me...

I thought Maryana was the best NRX girl this year so I am glad you mentioned it, that scene with the glass floor shot from above was a great moment. Sadly they never seem to shoot at the same location more than once but hope they go back. I can imagine this angle from below with sloppy blowjobs, face fucking, squirting, pissing could capture create some unreal action.

So for me, it's the Colombian (I could spend my monthly ticket allotment just on NTP and Gonzo/Gio releases with these girls). Still going through scenes from the spring trip to Prague, NTP from the poolside mountain view vids shot around this time last year and the latest arrivals (Yenifer, Lia, Daniela, Alicia, and Emily) and the Russians (NRX and the ones who made it to Prague).

Can't wait to see what 2022 has in store. I feel like Natasha will be busy in Colombia and maybe another batch to Prague early in the year, fingers crossed !

Despite ongoing COVID issues, and the emergence of a new, more infectious variant of the virus (Omicron).
Combined with serious concerns over the global economy, just think of how many governments have had to provide large, financial stimulus packages just to keep the country afloat.

I think LP/AV has quite frankly, kicked ass in 2021! Well done to xxx (the Owner) and his whole team of people who run this.
We hope this can be a platform to further strengthen in 2022!
