Covid-19 & mental health

Postby netzerkaiser » Tue Jan 05, 2021 4:20 pm

Are any of you folk feeling mental health impacts from covid-19 world? I realise I'm missing so much from face-to-face contact, flirting with shop assistants etc... little things that would often brighten up a dull day... I think its bringing a careworn melancholy upon me, I've read similar stories but they're usually from attention-seeking celebrities. But it must be affecting us little people too.

Well, luckily porn shootings in Prague took off again and they are done basically as if Covid-19 didnt exist. :)
Its mainly young ppl involved, though, and of course commuting to and from studios they wear masks etc.
Also creates some pretty funny mask pics in social media.

In shops and so down street level normal folk I find it grumpy and difficult, though, because all are stressed and want to leave as soon as possible. Sure no flirt modes anymore. :(
I think it takes a toll on all of us not only VIPs ofc. But down street level you just dont expect so much attention! ;)

To an extent, sure. I lost my mother last year, not through Covid but cancer, and we could only say goodbye with a few people. Missed the warmth of family and friends around me at that time for sure. Still do for normal reasons.
Professionally as well; in normal times I work in an office with more than 30 people. Everybody working from home still, haven’t seen most of them since last April.

Will throw myself on a needle with a vaccin as soon as it’s my turn.

I am so sorry to hear that. For so many older folk, who brought us up, you picture the church packed to the rafters with those who appreciated all the little acts of kindness they practised during their lives, its the least they deserved, a good send-off. And it was / is denied both Them & their families currently. I am very sorry for your troubles, & thanks so much for sharing.

Everything happens for a reason (Causality), Guess whats going to happen after 2035 if we continue our today's path. world population will reach above 12billion, more than 2 billion people are going to live in extream poverty. Crime rate & unemployment rate will reach above 20/100. Innocent children, women & everyone is going to suffer... Climate change, natural disasters and the accompanying vegetation loss will lead to starvation and riots...
More than 1 billion people are living in poverty today... 3.4 million innocent children are dying every year because of starvation... Nobody cared, No one did anything to control population. But someone always cared, he had to do something, he can't ignore their tears... :o
Your old life you won't get that back, that's the sad truth, unless they are ready to change (i don't think it's going to happen). A new world without religions, casts, narcissism, possessions or boundaries, a new world of united humankind, that's his desire. End will justify the means...

There's an awful lot in what you're saying.. an awful lot. But right now, its falling into the wrong hands. Its hard to be optimistic, but at least we can know where we stand. As you clearly do. Kudos.
