FALSE! (but not why I quoted)
How many more smoking hot girls would be ready to commit the most depraved acts on film if producers had all that lost revenue to offer. Think about it. What a shame.
In a perfect peachy keen world sure... But this it isn't. Besides the recent trend around here is to take their money out asap, and only leave in/re-invest bare min. (for the most part, not 100% across the board) Instead of reinvesting in themselves for a sustained future/expansion. So you'd end up with pretty much what we have now... A shadow of it's former greatness and top quality practically unrivaled content atop their industry.....
Seriously, XXX himself posted that after only 24-30hrs (no joke! even though that logic is a joke) after release a model didn't generate enough sale to get invited back, only that the other scene or 2 that were already were shot would be priced higher to try and "make up" lost investment. Meanwhile sales will still continue to rise (slowly most likely) and 6+ weeks later when said scene(s) is released at higher price they're basically double dipping. It's like that saying about the little old lady with a loaf of bead under each arm crying hungry because she doesn't have any soup to go with it or what ever... They're not nearly as poor as they cry around here. Not at all. Most likely costs/expenses running too high or profits seeming too low is due to the company/studio and how they run/operate on a day-to-day basis, not due to consumer base or talent pool....
