Brighter scene =/= better lit scene

So I had a look at a few recent scenes yesterday, all from the Gonzo/Luis studio and it seems to me they have gone downhill recently in terms of the picture quality.

Last summer I felt like he had finally gotten his lighting pretty good, so I am not sure what has happened. For disclosure, I have messaged him and he says he will look into it.

I will also say the same appears to be true of a lot of Giorgio's scenes.

But to give an example, if you look at Polly Petrova's recent scene (but the Jolee Love, Belle Claire and Alexy scenes also) not only are the white walls totally blown out (irreperably, they are a flat 255.255.255 over exposed whitewash) but the overall brightness is so far off. Examining the file, rather than a nice range of values from 0 to 255 there is nothing in 90% of the scene below 50!!! That is absolutely ridiculous.
I cannot see an excuse for this. It takes a matter of a minute or two in adobe premiere etc to check this out and correct prior to encoding. You could also add in the scenes with a color cast, again this takes a minute to correct. You should never ever encode a file, even a home video, without checking this. Why encode a 4k file at high bitrate, as LP thankfully does, yet not bother to spend five minutes setting the dynamic range and white balance??
Both GG and Gonzo would do well to check out the American Anal channel. How come their colors and lighting is ten times better?
Even if your settings or lighting is imperfect when filming at least spend five minutes correcting it as best you can afterwards, don't just upload it as is. It make it seem like you just don't care.

Guess I'm not the only one bothered by this. Then again being blinded by a full on blast of white light seems endemic to modern porn.
