Audio glitches

Recently I've noticed that the soundtrack will glitch out at random intervals and emit a sort of "crackling" noise. I noticed this while streaming RS055, but have since noticed it on every single scene I have tried to watch, including scenes that did not previously have this issue. I downloaded a local copy of RS055 to see if that fixed the problem... but the local copy had the same audio glitches!
Has anyone else experienced this or anything else like it?

Are you using VLC? I had problems with the audio stuttering in and out at certain times on scenes, but then I tried playing with windows media player and now the problems are gone.

I do use VLC, but the problems persisted in QuickTime as well. (I have a Mac.)

That's a VLC issue. i tried kmplayer and the problem disappeared.

The problems persist in QuickTime. At any rate, I get the same audio glitches with the streaming video, so it's not VLC.

It depends on what set of codecs you're using. I don't know what quicktime uses so you may try the option i already gave. btw if anybody knows how to fix this in vlc, I'd really appreciate it.

I had a similar problem myself once, this could be a driver related problem (note any driver in the computer can cause this, not only the ones for the audio), there is a great tool called "DPC Latency Checker" available from here:
http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtmlWhen you run the tool, you should see low stable results like this:
But if it looks like this, you have driver/hardware problems:

Could you please write me the exact times audio glitches in this scene, we will check if it's our problem.
