Doubt about the gallery pics quality of the scenes

Hi Kapwn, i'm asking myself what is the reason of have a compressed quality of the pics for each gallery scene.

I'm thinking in that one reason can be the storage saving but is quite obvious that the gallery pics were made with a professional camera, even if the resolution is intentionally restricted (1024x683 or 512x768), is notable that the details and colors of the pics are quite good. Why don't upload the original file? I like to check the gallery and is a pitty that the resolution is too low when the quality says the contrary even restricted.
