Likewise SZ1686 freezes at 3:41. VLC 2.2.6 on Macintosh OSX

Are you using download manager?
It works for me on Windows.
Will ask developers for testing on your setup.
Also, which versions exactly?

VLC 2.2.6 for Mac OSX (VLC 2.2.4 freezes too)
Downloaded in Firefox 54.0.1 using DownThemAll! 3.0.8.

Oops - forgot a detail. The downloading was down under Windows 7. The playback was under OSX.
