My username seems to have got changed from Alan2008 to Alan2008893. Can you please fix that and restore my Alan2008 username.

Seems like you connected/ or did not connect your account with your LP account. I can see both Alan2008 and Alan2008893 on our Forum, both with the same e-mail.
Please try to merge the Forum account with your LP account - if that does not help, let me know.
