It proves that Putin, despite the carefully cultivated image he projects, is now so weak that a tinpot thug and gangster like Prigozhin can humiliate him for the entire world to see and get away with it. Putin goes on national television to accuse the guy of treason and says he will pay for his treachery and then drops all criminal charges against him and allows him to go and hang out with his buddy Lukashenko instead. So, it seems like whoever is running Russia these days it's not Vladimir Putin.
