Homosexuality & English public school system (historically)

Postby netzerkaiser » Sun May 01, 2022 11:20 pm

I say 'historically' as things change in society.

To non-Brits its confusing, understandably. The 'public school' system is really a private school 'paid for by parents'... a sociological' system to uphold societal hierarchy. In UK for past 200 years its been an absolute pillar of establishment.

Today I watched movie 'If'... starring Malcolm Mcdowell... please watch if you can...

If its accurate, & it seems its ethos by & large, is...

You gotta ask:

Is the world mad? What parents mindset would send a child into such a den of sadism? Musels 'Young Torless' seems show this was a universal bourgeouis world view for so long?

Its not so different from Alan Clarkes 'Scum' but for rich kids?

Any thoughts?

"If..." is a great film, Malcolm McDowell is fantastic in it.

I think the idea was you might have to put up with a bit of sadism and buggery but, at the end of it, you were guaranteed to succeed in life and basically run and control the country - and other countries.

You said to me once, & it was a great compliment that I treasured... "you're great guy but maybe this isn't right forum'...

Beautiful sentiment, genuinely appreciated from someone I respect... but is there ever a correct forum that points at the absurdity of it all?

I went to an English public school system, and I can categorically say that I love women.
I also love sexy, feminine TS, especially TS porn and Thai ladyboys.

I have no issues with any homosexuals, it is people's own choice about what they choose to do with their own lives.

By looking at me, and the way I act - no one would ever use the word homosexual to associate with me.

Oh absolutely, I don't doubt it... & I don't doubt 90% of lads went through unscathed.

But if you look at the film I speak of... its amazing how the whole thing of power & abuse seemed to have gone on & more worryingly, been accepted.

Unless somebody chooses to act out, I doubt anyone could guess how many gay people walk among us. They're just people, with a different sexual orientation.

Nope. You really think the ranks of UK Tory male MP's are packed with normal, well-balanced people?

Oh come on! It was a Dominator tractor. Easy mistake to make.

So, he was looking for a dominator.
And now he says he thought it was a tractor, not an attractive actor?

OK.

Clearly on topic.

As a former farmer, he was just looking for a damn good threshing.

I knew a lady once, on the continent, who at work in a big corporation & feeling homesick, innocently tried, over 20 years ago this is, to access the website for the Scottish band The Waterboys who were due to tour there, to try book tickets for an upcoming concert.

Well to her shock she ended up on a gay website & had a really embarassing situation trying to explain situation to Sys Admins.

That’s taking the piss!

Mind you, I once returned some interesting results when I needed some realistic data for a system test and googled Thai Bond Yields.
