Hobbies you wouldn't reveal on a first date!

Any of you guys have interesting (to you) hobbies that you kind of ehem, keep underwraps!?
I enjoy painting toy soldiers. I have armies of old Airfix soldiers I learned to paint. I'm not great mind you, you see some great guys on youtube.

I used to import from Ireland moulds from 7 years war too & paint them. It was cool. Obscure kind of war, Great Northern War also. The key was getting the right metals at good price, otherwise expensive hobby.

I actually have a hobby that I avoid talking about almost with everyone.
And mostly because it makes people feel uncomfortable, not really because I want to keep it a secret.
It's the whole topic around "money".
For some reason, people feel confronted when I ask, how do you make money?

It sounds so nerdish but I collect 1:50 (scale) models of excavators, from only one brand and from only one manufacturer.

That post was kind of a joke. I am neither wealthy nor important.
Serious answer: I am fascinated by the possibility of extraterrestrial life and the UFO phenomenon, and have kept up with the topic pretty closely for the past 15 years. To make a long story short, no, I don’t think that UFOs are necessarily aliens from other planets, but yes, I do think there is something significant about them that we haven’t yet pieced together. We are definitely missing part of the puzzle.

I would never reveal a horrendous and extremely boring hobby of mine, collecting vintage furniture. It would put women off any potential second date for sure.
Then again, I guess there are many hobbies like porn addiction, porn collection of LP/AV videos, miniature figure painting, gardening etc which would all surely put off most women!

I can't think of cooler hobby to pronounce than vintage furniture. It shows style, judgement, class, the lot...

Cyber-stalking, mainly in regards to a high-profile criminal case. I have unearthed info / pertinent sensitive content that the head detective and bloodthirsty, sensationalist media missed. I enjoy the detective work, as I consider myself a 'completionist' (read: creep). I might elaborate but I don't want to be banned from the forum, lol. Thankfully, I'm getting my life on track and am understanding how important the right to privacy is, especially to victims, however loosely we define that word. France has something like the 'right to disconnect'; conversely, it's disturbing what info one can uncover on my fellow Americans, and that's just via a simple Google search, let alone background checks. I enjoy the hunt; I may be a predator but I am a complicated predator.

Collecting is an innate masculine trait. Maybe it's the thrill of the hunt, the pleasure to own things, I don't know. But it's funny how it's almost incomprehensible to most women. Most would call us borderline autistic for that.
I used to collect and paint miniatures (mostly Warhammer - never played the game, just painted the armies). Then, it was old books (1960s or less) of my favorite authors. The thrill was to find the oldest ones at the fairest price.
Nowdays I don't collect anymore but it diverted into something related; researching and comparing a lot before buying a product. It's not even for a financial reason, it's just... fun. Lol.

Speaking of collecting, yesterday I thought of another hobby I wouldn't share while walking along restaurant-lined Main Street: dumpster diving / picking through a trash can. Due to recent events, which includes me falling incredibly ill, I'm shelving that hobby for a while.
