There were very few wooded areas left and I felt we needed to preserve some of the original character of the neighborhood.

I spent several hours writing and editing my input regarding this issue as a concerned citizen. I wanted it to be a quality report.
They did ask for input from the community but I figured it was only a gesture and that you cannot fight City Hall.

Much to my surprise, my report appeared to be pivotal in the decision to build instead a subway underground and preserve the two woodlots.
In their discussion of their final decision, they began with a discussion of the preservation of the two woodlots.
