Well, I do drink the sugar free variety exclusively and quite frequently as I have to avoid "regular" sugar or other things containing high amounts of fructose. On the other hand I drink no alcohol at all.

i was in a doctor once and there was propaganda advertising in the walls saying isotonic drinks are "bad"
