I hope that NRX, Erika K, and the rest can resolve whatever legal issues they're having. Maybe it's just a shake-down. St Petersburg (which is where I believe they're located) is a very cosmopolitan city; it's hard to believe the authorities are that interested in shutting them down, regardless of what laws exist on the books. There are plenty of obscenity laws in most countries that are not enforced because in the age of the internet and globalization they make no sense. Besides, Russia has been producing porn for decades. NRX and EK have simply reached a new level of production quality and success.

My other thought is, why can't similar young women be found in Eastern Europe? Russia does not have a monopoly on beautiful girls.

If NRX and EK are unable to return in Russia, they have defined a market that either they, or someone else, can now exploit. For the last 18 months the majority of scenes I've purchased were from them.

Not for nothing but I just logged in to Sheer though I have never signed up for any sub there. My email came up as registered so I had to reset a password to access and when I did, there was a bunch of full AnalVids content in a feed. Must be determining I have content from my email because all of the vids in my Sheer feed are videos I have purchased on AnalVids. Checked the purchase history on Sheer and there is nothing and no credit card on file either. At least from a backend perspective, Tim's story checks out about how the content unlocks across multiple accounts and services. Haven't checked X-Vids because frankly Red is confusing as hell regarding what you do and don't have access to but I'd bet those same scenes are unlocked for me there too.

Well, they're constantly uploading old videos onto the front page as "new releases" (as in, the date has been changed to reflect the current day it is being released as the official release date).

This signifies two things, as far as I can tell. Number one, they still consider NRX a part of the family, and they're still acting like the studio is active.

Number two, that the NRX sales were strong enough, and the quality of product was good enough, that they will do whatever they can to keep the studio going.

It's easy to see that NRX really did become the flagship series of Analvids in the time it was around. The sleek aesthetic, the quality of the music, the costumes, and the laser-focus on creating intense porn that utilized AND created (most important) some of the most cutting-edge techniques in porn. The introductions - like Eva Babies BBC DAP (the second one) is a primer for anybody making porn on how to do an introduction. Essentially establishing a new high benchmark by which all other porn looks lacking in comparison.

Everything about the studio was essentially what porn was leading up to all this time. Making them essentially the leader, the world over, in studio made porn. The fact that they have the most beautiful girls/models is just the cherry on the top. The production behind the studio more than earned it.

Then there is the third thing - the rest of Analvids is noticeably hurt without NRX in it's line-up. That's not to diminish the other studios or producers - but NRX had essentially become the all-star player on the team. When the all-star is injured - everyone else can't really make up for it. Just like in sports - the weaknesses in the line-up become more apparent when the all-star isn't there to cover it all up and stitch it all together.

That isn't really fair to the other studios - the South American studios have been producing absolutely top-notch stuff and the European/North American side can be carried by Baby Kxtten and Rebel Rhyder alone. So, that's not to say that nothing else is happening, but ...

Analvids probably knows how essential NRX was in their line-up (hence them re-releasing the old content). This is what transformed them into being cutting edge. Over the past three years with Analvids having invested in so many different studios - finally a few came out of it that could carry the industry and the parent company forward into the future. If anything ...

Analvids is probably doing everything - and I mean everything in their power to get NRX back on their feet. Getting as many of the actresses over as humanly possible. Getting Nick set up with a good studio. Bringing over his scouts and studio talent. Like, that stuff takes time. But ...

Analvids future kinda depends on it.

I completely agree with hyapet's analysis that NRX and EK were carrying this platform. You can only recycle the usual suspects like Ria Sunn, DeVille, etc... so many times. The South American studios are ok, but the talent is not even close to the beautiful young actresses that NRX and Ek were developing.

The mass collection of cheap clips smells of desperation as AV and the other European studios can't match the quality or quantity that the Russians were producing.

Frankly, I don't care who is right, Tim or Nick. We will never get the full story. At least Nick created the best porn studio on the planet. Maybe he's a bipolar sociopath, but he's also a phenomenal producer who brings top notch talent.

Truth being told - the other studios aren't "at fault" for being unable to cover the gap(e) left by NRX studio.

The entirety of the enterprise was, understandably, made to balance within itself. A lot of attention - money - and manpower went into the NRX side of things. More importantly though, the slice of the pie that was given to NRX on the main-page, with the understanding of what they would be bringing with it, took a lot of the attention and money out of the other studios simply because you can only sell so much porn. There is such a thing as overloading the buffet.

So, when you suddenly take NRX away, it only makes sense that the other studios can't just then magically fill the empty slot. You're going to feel it. And considering that NRX studio was specializing in incredibly beautiful models performing the "biggest" acts you can in the porn scene (DAP - TAP - Piss - Gape), no other studio can then suddenly say, "Well, here's an extra 30% of output!" Even if they could - it wouldn't be on the same level - and that is not a knock to those studios. That's just how far ahead of the game NRX was.

It goes even further. The actresses themselves have "viewing limits" (lacking a better term) - as was already referenced - you can, typically, only take in so many scenes from a certain actress before it doesn't excite in the same way as it once did. So, even though the caliber and style of performers such as Anne DeVille and Baby Kxtten are extraordinary, there are only so many times you can watch them perform before it doesn't launch the missile as quickly as it once would have. Which explains why a top-tier performers like Eden Ivy haven't done a DAP scene yet. She has the looks and ethnicity to extend her stay on the platform for, pretty much, however long she wants.

This is not to say there is anything wrong with these performers - but, understandably, their schedules are set with a certain time between their scenes. The best performers can average a scene per week. But even then, outside of the "breakthrough" moments (first anal, first DP, first DVP, first DAP, first BBC DAP, first TVP, first TAP, first BBC TAP), most scenes fail to generate the excitement and buzz necessary to carry the entire platform.

Just the nature of the beast. So, when the flagship series (NRX), who, let's remind ourselves, was so epic that it essentially made Legalporno worthy of retirement, suddenly gets removed - there's no way to replace it. Even within like half a year.

The South American studios are fantastic, actually. As are the performers. As are all the American/English performers. They're fantastic. No matter how great they are though, they can't suddenly make up the loss of five A+, three A++, and two S rank performers. Especially when those performers are perfectly framed blue-eyed blonde-haired 18 year old looking angels who can take BBC DAP. Just isn't happening. South American girls are incredible - but they, like everyone else, are all flavors of fancy. Those Russian NRX looking teens ...

They were the whole meal.

Nobody else's fault (actresses and studios) that they can't replace that - especially when the system was made to give that the room it needed to be the flagship.

Let's just be clear on that.
