I agree with this, NIck NRX is certainly the best among the studios here for updates and feeding back to the forum, but to be honest AV site is generally (compared to other studio sites) really weak in that area.

The first site I ever had a subscription to was the US bondage site Kink dot com ('Sex and Submission' shoots etc).
And they had an entire dedicated 'notice board' section on their site where it listed which models were scheduled to shoot what and when, and then (once it was filmed and in the post-production stage), a scheduled date given - often weeks ahead - for the scene release date.
It sounds silly maybe (I was young), but it actually made the release of the scene so much sweeter, because you could get excited about whether the scene you were looking forward to would actually be shot (hoping the model would make it and it would go ok), and then impatient waiting for the editing and counting backwards to release day.

It makes the release of scnes far more of an 'event' for the customer/consumer than directors casually saying 'well something might come out soon, ok it was released today'.
You get the build up, the weeks of anticipation, sneak previews. It turns release day into something special.

Yes, it's an admin chore for most studios to bother with, so I understand why they don't do it. But it's actually a very cheap way for studios to give customers/consumers far more of an overall experience by adding a build up to release day.
