I think some of the bigger, better capitalised studios (e.g. Giorgio) will shoot several scenes with visiting models and hold some back to release during periods when prodution is limited e.g. holiday seasons.

If Gonzo's limiting resource is availability of directors, they may not have the luxury of building up a big enough stockpile of scenes to ensure consistent releasing.
