Why not?

Because a lot of performers wouldn't even consider a DAP until after doing a standard DP. It's just kind of the natural progression. If you love ATP, you should check out Adriano's recent stuff (if you can tolerate his terrible camerawork). Most of the scenes he has shot in the last year or two have lots of it.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of it, as I find that all the back and forth really kills the rhythm of the scene.
