I wonder if part of the problem is just a fear of doing something different. I say that because you can see with Cindy Shines recent scene for Gonzo that same kind of thing: they start filming in a mock photo studio with a step ladder, they film in a corridor ... but then go back to the safety of the sofa set as if they are scared to do anything different.

Yep. Completely Agree. Great cinematography is much appreciated.Are their no film students that know lighting/gaffing & the rule of thirds that can help improve shooting. The lighting is always so flat when they shoot indoors. We want better quality. Just like we want more dickd in there ass.
