You're missing the point.
It's not my job to watch out for his reputation. That's his job.
I took everyone to task in the full post from which that quote was lifted. Marley, xxx, and Pierre.
Because they all looked bad and escalated a situation that quite literally wouldn't have been a situation if any one of them had the capacity to handle it like an adult.
You're framing this as "EP is on Sineplex's side now", which is simply not true. I'm not on anybody's side. I refuse to get involved in the battle between LP and Sineplex. That's not my fight.
Look. xxx ain't a bad guy. He's arrogant and has an ego the size of the Moon, but he would never blatantly insult Marley unless she insulted him first. Which she did.
He just needs to be more aware of how he sounds. That brainwashing comment was the nail in his coffin. Marley took that to mean xxx thinks she's too stupid to think for herself.
EDIT: Not only that, but he played right into Woodman's hands by losing his shit after Marley posted that video on his forum. Now he looks like an asshole for cussing Marley out in full public view. Why the fuck else do you think Woodman released the video? Come on, man... He played you and you fell for it.
The real difference here is that you spoke to him in private about his comments instead of publicly bashing him on two different forums.
I've bashed PC before. Many times.
You'd be amazed how upset he got about one small comment I made once, which wasn't even intended to bash him in any way!
The difference is that PC often says things without really thinking about them. It's just his personality. He has no filter. That doesn't mean those things are excusable, but It doesn't have the same weight as when xxx says things, because he is much more deliberate about what he chooses to say and he means it.
