Probably, using economies of scale Vixen can pay models much higher wages and still make a lot of money. Something that smaller studios cannot afford since they don't have enough sales. Anti-competitive? Hardly so. Just a good business.

LP has put itself into this position by niching themselves too narrowly by constantly having the same type of content shot across all studios. They need to widen the user-base in order to increase total sales. That would mean continuous production of a larger variety of content to attract new customers and to keep them interested. Unfortunately LP productions often tends to converge towards what sells best at the moment, resulting in existing members who don't like that new focus having very little incentive to renew their memberships. I jumped onboard for Nata Paradise, for example. But since then content has shifted heavily to piss-drinking, which I don't like, so I chose not to renew my three month membership when it expired. I will definitely sign up again once I see more content to my liking being produced reliably.
