So finding some new "man meat" shouldn't be as hard as it seems with him.[/font] Again more of a "willingness" and just "GIO being GIO" (not meant to be good or bad, people are the way they are)
Last but not least (TO ME), he is the sole reason Veronica Avluv left the industry and that I cannot forgive, EVER.
Are you really sure of this? Have you been in a porn shooting before? If it was´that easy why most directors keep using the same guys and pay them a lot of dollars per scene? Most men can fuck but very few can fuck for the audiance. Mike is very unique and a very good performer. He add a lot on the porn set ...
Oscar, you quoted me here and yet you misunderstand. I didn't state is was "EASY", rather "SHOULDN'T BE AS HARD". Meaning it should not be as difficult as is made to believe/seem. Or even stated by producers/directors themselves. No I'm not of the belief that your job is just like "having sex" like I have in my bedroom, that's obsurd & ridiculous. But to the belief by people in the industry that I, or anyone else not in the industry; That I couldn't possibly have any sort of accurate idea/grasp of the adult business because I have not been either in front or behind a camera, is also ridiculous.
I see new male talent all over the net, some promising, some not so much (yes black, white, purple, ect. all the flavors) Especially in these days of self promotion on the social platforms. No longer needed is the physical in person "interview/tryout" type of situation. So not really any investment of capital just a bit of time, communication & effort.
As to your question of:
"If it was´that easy why most directors keep using the same guys and pay them a lot of dollars per scene?"
I'll say this, just as in any other job that is repetitive day after day, you naturally become complacent and do what you know "works". You also want to expend the least amount of effort to get that job "done". So that would be the "WHY" as to using the same guys over and over. These studios just take the concept/practice of re-use/recycling of male talent to a whole new level.
As for the "lot of dollars per scene", yeah I'm stumped there because everything I've ever learned or heard (even from the male talent themself) they don't get paid "LOTS" of money. In fact they get paid quite a lot less than the females, and have to shoot many many scenes per week to make a living at it. Which is another reason why we see the same small pool of male talent across the industry.
I'm sure (actually assuming, but even if I'm wrong it lends merit to my statement even more so) that the type of scenes that the studios are shooting, i.e. DAP, PEE, TS, ect. pay more than a standard MMF/MMMMMF type scene.
Yes, you may pay lots of money for male talent, BECAUSE you use a minimum of 3/4 guys per scene.
Major big name studios quite frequently have "new" male talent in their releases. So it's not as if there is nobody in the world that can do this ("impossible"
) job.
Worth mentioning is that the system of payment to the studios from PB heavily re-enforces the practice even more so. That willingness to take any sort of "risk" no matter how large or small is greatly discouraged through fear of not being profitable. But that is a topic for another day/thread (which also has been discussed ad nauseam).
Also I never (in this post or my numerous others on the subject) stated that Mike could not perform the duties requested of him, even at SUCH an advanced age. It was always the EVERYTHING else that comes with him that I do not care for.
