the expectations of the customer have to be balanced with both what is good and ethical sex industry practice, and what is sustainable for business. while you are approaching this from the perspective of a cinema goer seeking spectacle, Giorgio has to approach what he does from the angle of a businessman.
running a successful porn ‘stable’ of actors and actresses requires the same skills as those of a racehorse trainer or a football manager. you have to balance ‘what your clientele wants to see’ with what is sustainable (physical, psychological and emotional) and fair (ethical) for your employees.
so where is Nicole now? and how many scenes did she produce and how long did she last?
a racehorse trainer who runs his best horse in every race may see an immediate peak in gains, but it will be more than offset by the losses he/she has to bear with regard that horse in terms of missed races, or even forced retirement (lucky the horse that gets to retire) due to injury costs and exhaustion. the same with footballers. if your best player is injured or exhausted they have to take time out, or only play one half, as much as you would like to play your best team every time.
if Giorgio paces his performers with sensitivity and intelligence and shoots three scenes a day for which he can charge five tickets for each, that’s fifteen tickets potential return generated per day.
if he drives an actress into the ground with an hour long dap session (supposing she was even willing to do that), she won’t be able to do three scenes a day. that is a lot of pressure on a sensitive part of the body. so she has to rest for the rest of the day if she is to perform the following day.
as she can’t do any more work that day but needs to pay bills it is not ethical to pay her only for the scene. she is effectively ‘working/recovering/preparing’ for the entire day. any employer that tried to do so would lose girls, their reputation and eventually their business.
so will the clientele him pay fifteen tickets for her sole very demanding scene that day, or will they moan that it is too expensive?
and he also has a studio and male cast (who also deserve similar fair treatment) running and ready to go for the day, all of which has to be paid for. of course he can get a different girl in for each scene, but then who pays the travel and board for that? overheads go through the roof, the business folds.
it’s a balance, customer demand against sustainable business practice. and everyone wants more.
I think Giorgio is not only a great businessman but also a gentleman. he’s an original and deserving of much respect for that. not all in this business work that way.
his female and male cast consistently return and enjoy shooting for him. he creates a family (even party) atmosphere at his studios. see the bts shots. everyone eats together, works together, plays and jokes around between scenes together, and parties out together. the word gets around and the best girls want to work for him.
he respects his people and in return he has the most beautiful women in Europe (and elsewhere) queuing up to perform the kind of acts on camera for him that most of us can only fantasize about ever participating in in real life. but that requires the balance being struck I have outlined above.
anyway, a long post but thought it worth saying that there are two sides to every story.
