The folks won't start chiming in until the content changes.
Example: anal and big tits are two of the most popular niches worldwide, if the two categories are vastly underrepresented and something that turns many of those folks off overrepresented...consumers won't come en masse until what they want to see is brought into sufficient representation.
This is on an even more basic level when it comes to ethnicity.
Example: There are separate sites that cater to Asian male anal lovers, Black male anal lovers, White anal lovers etc.
Why? Because the man is the stand in for most consumers...and so studios have found that for the majority of male consumers that means someone of or reasonably close to their own race/ethnicity/skin color etc.
It's even broken down into more specific niches like older Asian men having sex with younger women, or fat sloppy White guys having sex with hot women etc.
To cater to those guys who feel they cannot relate to a young fit man...and those guys who like a "freak show" situation.
If they want change they have to make it happen by stepping up. Change is not going to happen by sitting on the sidelines. As far as I can see the people want a mix, and not your idea of a 90/10 or 80/20 mix, but a good balance. If there are other guys not coming in and saying otherwise than they don't deserve to get what they want.
Well...let's see here. If we're seeing big traffic from India, Mexico and Egypt why not build a site to boost BUYERSHIP from those regions. We're basically talking about "Brown" guys leading the way for this new site. Even though Indians, Mexicans and Egyptians are three entirely different groups. I think it would be fair to say that Ed Junior, Erik Klein and Tony Brooklyn could be the base male cast for that site.
The good side of that is that All three of those guys are mixed enough that any of them could be a base male cast for other future ethnic/regional demographic niche sites.
While that is happening, build up the Euro demographic niche with increasing the workload for "top performer" Euro guys and maybe recruiting a few newer guys.
I'm seeing comments on the Georgio thread where he's ruminating over what exactly is holding back ticket buys. I'm seeing a lot of comments on what people don't want to see in a scene.
I personally feel that in trying to include as much of the fetish stuff in there (to satisfy as many niches as possible) they have turned off more potential buyers than they have created. Here's an example: Great trailer with hot girls until someone starts pissing, turning off more people than it turns on.
People start to reconsider buying tickets.
Here's another example: Great trailer with hot girls getting fucked, until a prolapsed* anus/rectum appears on screen and turns off more people than it turns on.
*I feel the gore factor of a prolapsed anus can make a customer skittish about buying future scenes because they grow disgusted with the studio. While Adriano has a lot of fans, he seems to have an equal number of people who simply cannot stomach his work.
So...back to ethnicity and sites based on ethnic/regional demographic base.
It could be like the "too many fetishes spoil the broth" problem I hypothesized, where it might be better to build niche sites based around target regions. Obviously LP would start with who they're getting eyes from now (India, Mexico, Egypt) and their natural customer base Europe/West. Building down from there based on how the next 5-10 nations rank.
This also has to take into account what proportion of those viewers are buying and in a position to buy.
Example: As a % of total views, India ranks high but ticket Buys from India are a much smaller % and France is higher--might want to prioritize building Western Europe male demographic niche site first...and vice versa.
