A bit exaggerated, but I think you understand what I'm getting at:

a) A newcomer is making a scene with bad camerawork and a bit of a half-baked POV. Many people are like:
"What is he thinking, feeding us such crap?"

b) If somebody like Rocco or Angela White is making the the same scene, many people are like:
"Oh wow, we couldn't see much, but we could at least see Rocco's left leg and Angela's right finger. We should pay $50 for that!"

Shouldn't it be exactly the other way around? Those who know how to do it should be assessed more strictly than the newcomers who still need to gain experience.

I suppose it's a rather general tendency one can observe in basically every type of human activity, like arts, sports, politics etc.

On one side well established names/individuals often take advantage of a kind of favours in the eyes of their public as well as their peers.

Sometimes it's because they used to deliver solid work and they are still believed to be able to do it.

Sometimes it's because they have good PR/communication skills and because people are accustomed to be lenient with them.

Sometime's it's because it is not welcome nor profitable to criticise well established names - one risks to be considered as a trashmouth or an amateur.

On the other side, young people are considered with a kind of condescendance by their superiors, by their public or even by their families.

As they are inexperienced, they are prone to make errors. And human likes to point out the errors of others. Especially when it serves him/her to hide his/her own errors or inperfections.

There is also another reason, known as tradition/hierarchy. I mean that public, critics and superiors often are afraid of something that is new. They consider it as a danger for their customs, their preferences or even their position.

By criticising younger generation, they mean to make it obeying and subordinate.

Some evident exemples of these attitudes are hazing (at school, in the army) or different kinds of artistic critic (filmmaking, music) as well as industry prizes that are often awarded to older creators or to those among young generations who meet the expectations of older generations.
