Yes, now you mention it...he also helped in the financial and porn aspects of both Catalina Cruz and Layla Rivera immensely.

That is not entirely accurate. Early in his career he was having agents send brand new girls to him and the girls had no idea what was going to happen (early 2000s a lot of people were still not surfing the net being up to date on porn news). it was very common for directors (not just max) to not tell the girls what was happening until she was on set with a paycheck at risk. There was bullying and girls did stuff they hated because it was just put upon them in the moment. Agents were very sketchy and would take kickbacks for more extreme sites to manipulate girls to go to shoots like Max, Facial Abuse, etc.

This isn't just a problem with Max, it was quite common back then. The girls had no where to go and the industry specifically tried to recruit people in desperate situations to send to the more extreme porn shoots.
