I think we really have to take a step back and realize that its just a job, although a really very demanding one. Other influence are upbringing, background, childhood etc, but here as well many people have very hard experiences and mental scars. Just that in my feeling, growing up in 'saturated' Western Europe, as in my case, makes a difference. Thus I'd really try to learn about the girls place of origin etc, I'd also learn her mother tongue, just to really understand her better. But at the end of the day its a matter or respect and only that, respect and love!

That's the issue, marriage is not something you do just for looks, you do it for love.
