I hate flying, I don't give a monkeys about a carbon footprint, I just hate flying.

I'd love to take a cargo berth to Halifax, Canada, from Hamburg or Liverpool, & trek by train across Canada.

I can afford it, in all I reckon £5k would do it for 2 month adventure.

What employer would give you that time off though?

We have to have dreams.

On second thoughts, this sounds like a feasible plan: you'd do this in 3-4 weeks:

What about you guys?

I have traveled the Pacific Ocean islands for four months two decades ago. Not the high end Bora Bora type islands, but the 'real' ones like Samoa, Nauru, Kiribati and Tuvalu. Lived and stayed with the locals most of the time.

Although I've traveled a lot before and after that, everything pales in comparison.

I know you're in the industry, Brother, so I really appreciate you taking time to reply.
