Again no price rise warning at all!
Okay, its only VAT added which seems we didnt pay so far for our porn.
For me I had just re-charged 360 tickets (3 times 120 tkt option) and found out I payed 22% more, even though non-VAT price was still shown on my shopping chart.

Reminds me mid April ticket devaluation: I eventually swallowed that one because production price rise were passed on fairly still. I went over the fact that nobody at Pornbox cared to warn us porn consumers about that de facto 35% scene price rise for users.
But this is the 2nd time in 2022 now: No warning, you pay or die!

I spent my last tickets left and stopped Pornbox shopping completely.
In forum I still comment on new scenes and pretend I'll buy them - eventually.
My impression is many users do the same, they praise a scene or girl but dont support production with their money really. We have users praising almost every scene, its fishy - and boring as well.

Its not about prices, its about lack of communication leading to lack of loyalty!

Anybody experiencing the same?

Btw, basic communication skills are as easy as sex!

Vote with your wallet. I only buy very very selective scenes now. I am simply not willing to risk 10 tickets on a scene that may not be as good as the heavily edited trailer portrays it as. Back in the day I was happy to spend 3 or 4 tickets on scenes and maybe only keep a third of those I downloaded but the prices now .... I just play it safe.
Another consequence is that I simply don't take a risk on new girls anymore (Harper Maddox is the sole exception). Part of that is because they are unknown quantities and part is because I know there is a ladder of progression and in a few months they will likely have progressed to making greater versions of the same thing. Again, at 3-4 tickets I could stand supporting that process but I am not going to spend 30 or 40 tickets supporting the development of a girl through her first four or five scenes, I will just sit and wait and select the best scenes she has made down the line.

I may be wrong but don't think this is something that Pornbox had/have any control over. Rather this feels like the gftcharge payment platform simply coming into line with what they legally should already have been doing.

What Pornbox absolutely should fix though is the indicated prices such that customers don't unwittingly end up paying more than expected.

Okay I noticed that there is a hell of a lot of VAT being charged. The UK is no longer in Europe. I bought 100 tickets for about 70 UK pounds yesterday. Looks like they added another 15 UK pounds on top. That's more than 21%. It must be duty charges + VAT. This is bizarre and yet it should be mentioned at the point of sale.

Damn - the average Giorgio scene now costing around £8 is pretty brutal.

£17 on top of £70 is 21.42% ..... so pretty much 21%

Regardless though, the prices are incredibly high now, when you add up the sharp increase in the cost per ticket and scenes costing THREE TIMES as many tickets as a couple of years ago.
I would say scenes have gone up maybe four or five times in price i(oe 300-400%) n two or three years.

The UK has (sadly) left the EU, not Europe, and for info. at least Italian customers have been hit with a similar cost increase recently too. The true cost should definitely be shown before the payment is agreed though, or at bare minimum a statement highlighting that local sales taxes will be added should be shown.

20% VAT is what should be being charged though. Any chance if you don't round your amounts to the nearest £ it's closer to 20%? Possibly there's a small card fee in the mix too.

I assume you're aware you'd be able to buy tickets cheaper with a membership? It's not just the monthly tickets you get that are significantly cheaper but I can also 'reload' 120 tickets for the same amount as you've just paid for 100. This won't make scenes suddenly cheap but it will be better than what you're currently paying.

I left that position and re-charged 120 tickets for the Uncut Raw Francys Belle scene.
This time GTFCharge showed the real price after 22% VAT added, thus I knew at least how much I pay, even though pornbox still made me believe I have to pay 22% less. This is the worst part of it.
I dont and paying for my porn, the more as all in all I am still convinced its produced in a fair environment for the girls acting the fantasies I want to consume. I also realize production prices and fees went up pretty much in 2021/2.
Had I set 5,5$ as maximum I am willing to pay per DAP-ed girls footage, I set that threshold up by 22% but tried to economize still. Within 7 days I bought 17 DAPs for those 120 tickets, thats a bit above the porn dose I need currently. DAP price turned out 5,6$ only and not 6,6$ - which is the nice part of it.

Still, to make my porn consume more sustainable I have to become extremely selective in future and not hunt for cheapo DAPs like I did in my first VAT added porn user week.
I hate the re-sheduling of scenes I wanna buy and the lack of true INSTA_BUYs.

Well, it's not only VAT. You had to pay VAT even before, so they just included it in price shown earlier.
Now they left unchanged the price shown (as it was before including VAT) and then adding VAT on top.
And you easily don't notice it because you assume the price you see before submitting your card is the final price (as it was).
Personally, I really slowed my buying a lot (I think I didn't buy anything in last month). They can say what they wnat, but doubling the price in a couple of year it's too much in my opinion (5 tkt was the regular price when I started here, now it's 10 and no inflation can justify that).
And when I saw this VAT added on top, I didn't finalize my membership buying and I guess I'll refrain for some time.
We can still have quality porn here, but with this continuous price hike regular porn sites with monthly subscription and whole library available are becoming more convenient.
Every market is offer and demand. Our only way to influence something is working on demand.

Seems like the best deal is just to advance the monthly charge (35 tickets). Buying bulk numbers of tockets above 35 doesn't make it cheaper. I think more expensive per ticket.

Reloaded my tickets again today and again no GTF payment window with 22% VAT added appeared, I just automatically got 120tkt into my pornbox account.
I expect credit card to be charged 22% more, though.

In paying options there is an option to automatize payments or to complicate them by GTF window popping up. I didnt know that choice existed. After de-activizing automated payment that window pops-up now and gives actual VAT sum to be added.
So that is the transparent and correct way.


About effects: I currently sway between some instant shopping and shopping abstinence days even if I'd like to get a new scene. On the latter I check my library for older scene of the same girl(s) - and often find scenes I have never really watched or forgotten. Its also great fun!
This said some new scenes I can't miss.
But generally my girls and studio loyalty dropped in effect of VAT addition leading to yet higher prices per scene.

I am confused now. The last 35 ticket recharge cost about £23 but yesterday when I did this manually (ie before the automatic re-charge) I was charged £33 for 35 tickets. This is crazy and very inconsistent.
