I'm struggling to explain in technical terms but when in cowgirl, the guy on top used to lean over the girl with his ass raised. This way you could great penetration when shot directly from behind the action.

Nowadays the guy on top seems to stands straight. If the action were to be shot directly from behind now, the guy's ass would be blocking any view of the penetration.

However, I am guessing this dp position came about as a way of avoiding having the guys ass in the frame at all because the action is now shot from more of a side-on angle.

The position the guy takes combined with the camera angle results in footage which has no or little man ass in the frame, while still capturing a semi-decent view of the penetration.

However, I personally don't mind having a bit of man ass in the frame and prefer the old way of shooting which results in a better view of the penetration and you can certainly get much better closeup shots this way.

Does anyone agree or even know what I am talking about? Watch any dp shot a decade or more ago and you will know what I am talking about

You are not even specifying which studio are you talking about

The first two images are rare examples of the classic way of shooting dp, done in recent years.

The second two are an example of the side-on way of shooting with the guy on top standing straight rather than leaning over the girls. often its done in an over the shoulder style as well like in the photos below.





No LP studio shoots dp like in the first 2 photos I posted. Jules Jordan is one of the few popular directors I know of who often shoots in the old style. These changes in style apply to reverse cowgirl dp as well

Some of my images didn't post properly.

Only the first image I posted shows classic way of shooting dp which I want to see more of. All other images show ho dp is commonly shot on LP and other sites today.

Am I right in believing we are in agreement?

Because of the new positioning and camera angles, You don't get to see any great close-ups like this these days either
